  1. Rubicon 4xe: any plans for lift and/or bigger tires?

100% it will. Photo below is 4xe lift in 4xe vehicle.
  2. Rubicon 4xe: any plans for lift and/or bigger tires?

Hi there, missed this, apology. The lift was going on this week but I ended up w some work travel so maybe next week. Seeing the comments above recommending a new track bar. I have a new Metalcloak Track Bar that is going on with the lift, purchased because MetalCloak required it for their...
  3. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

I do not, but the bumper itself felt lighter than the plastic bumper it replaced. The winch plate was fairly heavy and the winch itself was very heavy, not sure you can get away from that if you want a winch.
  4. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

Hey there. The Bull bar is certainly in the photo, and a bit of the bumper too, but I think it's manageable.
  5. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

I also went Genright. I bought the metal skids but haven’t installed those yet, they require drilling holes in the bumpers to mount. I used self etching primer and painted the Aluminum black. I’ve had high scratch area items powder coated in the past and not been any happier w powder coat than...
  6. Rubicon 4xe: any plans for lift and/or bigger tires?

I picked up what I think is this same lift yesterday at a dealer in norcal. It is P/N 77072522 the original lift they shipped around the time of the vehicle release. The dealer told me the lift had been in their parts dept a while. I bought the lift but was concerned about supposed issues...
  7. 4xe speedometer calibration

I installed this update Friday, it saved my tire size successfully. Latching of Regen button works some of the time, not every time. The Tazer initially caused my Check Engine light to come on for some ABS error but likely I didn't cycle the system enough as it went away after a few drives...
  8. Are you all using Premium gas ?

A point to add that might help with the above. FCA engineered the 4xe to have the battery boost "always available" by a) switching over to ICE while there is still battery "secretly" remaining as described above and b) enabling the engine to charge the EV battery. So as you drive along the...
  9. How Can We Help?

Hello there Benny. Like a lot of other people I want to order the 4xe specific Mopar lift (Rubicon model if that matters). In the announcement they published yesterday it states the item code is 77072522. I don't see that item on the Mopar store, would rather order from you regardless. Send...
  10. Dissapointed in the 4xe Max Regeneration mode

Yes that is my point... Brake pads are used for traditional braking. But if the transfer case is not engaged, and braking is needed in the front, you are using pads instead of recapturing that energy.
  11. Dissapointed in the 4xe Max Regeneration mode

Agree with a previous post re 2WD, are you in AWD or 2WD? 70%+ of all braking is from the front wheels in a traditional vehicle. The 4xe implementation requires the front drivetrain to be engaged to use the front for regen, without the transfer case engaged all you have are brake pads in the...
  12. End of first day with the Wrangler 4XE thoughts / feedback

Check the Owners Manual supplement P25 (https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/downloads/2021-Wrangler-4xe-Hybrid-Supplement.pdf) When the vehicle is in E-Save mode AND you have the E-Save settings adjusted accordingly, the vehicle WILL charge the battery while driving, burning extra gas to do so. I...
  13. Extended warranty ? Yes/No From dealer or get a Mopar warrant online?

How do modifications like bigger tires/lift/bumpers affect the extended warranty? Should you skip purchasing one if you plan to make mods like this?
  14. 4xe Regen Braking - Rock-Trac HD Full Time 4WD Sys vs 2wd etc.

Interesting Mike, thanks. Agree re: transmission/transfer case/etc involvement in regen, very different model from a motor basically on the axle itself. I didn't think the rear drag was enough to be effective in many stopping situations, helpful to hear from someone that has had a RWD electric...
  15. 4xe Regen Braking - Rock-Trac HD Full Time 4WD Sys vs 2wd etc.

Been wondering about regen braking on the 4xe. In a normal vehicle the front brakes do most of the work. If you are driving a 4xe in 4wd, great then the front wheels can generate max regen. I am getting a Rubicon, which I think all come standard with Rock-Trac HD Full Time 4wd. The owners...
  16. Order 4xe now or get one from Dealer?

There are zero 4xe on lots. 4xe's that are being ordered now appear to be manufactured pretty quickly, like a week or two at this point. None have shipped anywhere as yet, see the thread on 4xe Order Status. Once they actually start shipping I doubt ordering one takes you an extra 3 months based...
