We got the iKamper 2.0 mounted and hit some dispersed camping in Central Washington.
My biggest gripe, is the cross bars rest against the slots on the tent, causing groaning and screeching. Time to figure a good solution for deleting this.
Rack is fantastic so far otherwise.
I didn't have to do any cutting, it was mostly plug-and-play or swap cables (backup camera for example).
They are the 3/4 inch - although, they are a bit wide.
What a bummer, it turns out that we were about 1/4 inch off and the latch doesn't fit. We will adjust tomorrow night - oh man, those little screws are terrible.. strip a couple and struggled to get them.. haha. She does look really pretty though. We'll fix it up, get the latch and stopping...
Hey folks - finally on the mend, so it means installing Jeep parts!
We got the base rack (minus the rear tail lights - we still need to trim those pieces to fit - which we'll be tackling today).
Today, plan is to get the sliding rack installed - we have the iKamper 2.0 sitting in the garage...
We installed the LoD base roof rack yesterday - still need to trim the rear tail lights to get them reinstalled. Typical, had to stop at Home Depot for parts to finish the project, ha (in this case, step bit as my drill bits were too long).
Today we'll install the sliding rack so we can put up...
That looks awesome - agreed, that'll be interesting with a 270 degree awning. I've been waiting over two months for mine to arrive.
Roof rack is sitting on the pallet - won't be able to install for a couple of months until I'm fully healed.
As am FYI - when I bought my Rubicon at Autonation, Dwayne and Rairdon would not go below 3%. Autonation offered 1% under invoice for the 4xe Rubicon as well.
Also, Autonation couldn't have been an easier purchase experience (I've heard great things about Dwayne Lane - however, they refused to...
Autonation? I just got a quote for the Rubicon 4xe and they only offered 1% under invoice.. I just bought a 21 JLRU for under 5% from them so I was pretty confused - maybe that's the going rate for 4xe's.
How did you arrive at the final price? ($54668)
What are your thoughts on the 'Fox 2.5 Race Series with remote reservoirs F&R - I'm planning on doing the Rock Krawler No Limits 3.5" x-factor with those (looking forward to compression adjustability).
Build looks fantastic.
I put myself on the waiting list for Moab and the Rubicon events - ended up getting emails a few days later stating a spot had opened. We're in Washington, so we're going to have the RTT set up by then and treat each as a mini vacation (fingers crossed we have the Rubi on 37s by then too!).
Are those MSRP or are did you get a deal on the Bronco?
I ended up cancelling my Bronco Badlands order after the Spring to Summer delay and ended up in a Wrangler. The comparable (Bronco Badlands) was $61k+fees+taxes (Washington) - MSRP was the only option within the state, sadly. I was...
Thank you - I was interpreting a lower backspacing resulting in the wheel being closer to the suspension/break and thought it'd have to add 1" to achieve 4.5" from mounting.. looks like I have more reading to do :D appreciate it!
I've decided on the Rock Krawler 3.5" No Limits Mid Arm - now, I'm trying to ensure my wheel/tire selection fits.
Tires: BFG KO2 37x12.5
Wheels: KMC KM229 Beadlock 17x9 (3.5" backspacing)
However - the Rock Krawler lists the recommended backspacing for the Rubicon with 37" tires to be 4.5"...
