  1. Question regarding the Windsheld defrost

sounds like you got it dialed in. Remind me again what you used for materials? Did you buy or 3D print? Sorry it’s a long thread to back over.
  2. QTDDTOT: Questions that don't deserve their own thread

not necessarily the toughest or even the most fun but here is the recognized list. I would say it is a list of the most popular.
  3. Question regarding the Windsheld defrost

How’s the fit? These say 5/8 but I have also been told in this thread that 1/2 is correct.
  4. The clutch gang!

it means certain 2018 wranglers for example the ones that are JLs, but not the 2018 JKs that were sold.
  5. Cheap Jeep Hacks! Show 'Em Off Here!

Thanks for the feedback. Great idea anyway. I appreciate your honest assessment as to often folks won't admit when their idea doesn't work out. I am bummed to hear it did work not only for you, but also for me as I think the solution looked much better than mud flaps. Glad to it won't help...
  6. Cheap Jeep Hacks! Show 'Em Off Here!

How are these holding up? Now that you have had them for several months how effective do you feel they are at preventing rocks from hitting your paint? I think this a great idea, I'm just a bit hesitant to put holes in my new Ace Sliders.
  7. QTDDTOT: Questions that don't deserve their own thread

But the Nissan was electric and not mechanical. How many times you see guys rocking from 1st to reverse trying to get out of 4wd? I would much prefer the mechanical mechanism.
  8. QTDDTOT: Questions that don't deserve their own thread

It is very stiff at first, that said transmission in neutral, and vehicle rolling. Much harder to do at a dead stop. The tcase does not have synchros like the transmission, therefore moving will help with alignment.
  9. QTDDTOT: Questions that don't deserve their own thread

I don't recommend asking for a new wench for Father's Day. Most wives would not approve of such a request. :CWL:
  10. ROAM JL Pioneer Front Bumper in clear anodized aluminum

I have a few questions about the pioneer front bumper. Will the JL version also fit a Gladiator? Can the OEM LED fog lights be used or does this bumper require the purchase of new fog lights? Finally is there an option to add a front license plate to this bumper? Thank you
  11. Shift on the Fly Tuning, Tire Calibration, and Throttle Sensitivity Booster Now Shipping

Good question. I am confident the testing was on an auto. Manual drivers would obviously get less benefits (not shifting with the cruise control buttons), but can a manual driver still benefit from the same or similar gains to HP and Torque?
  12. Selec-Trac full time 4x4 4WD system discussions

Wish they would bring back the NP242
  13. Leaking oil

That sucks, I was thinking about leaks I have experienced. If you turn it on and can count drips consistently coming I don't blame you for not driving it. Best of luck to you.
  14. Leaking oil

Again not wrong to be upset about the 50k Jeep leaking on you. I would be to. How much is it leaking? A cup per week or less? What is your concern with driving it until the seal comes in? Just top it off once a week and you shouldn't cause any damage. Have the dealership buy you a quart of...
  15. The clutch gang!

I agree I have used ATF+4 in both my old YJ and my Ranger. I was surprised to learn that 10w-30 is what was recommended for my XJ, but that is what many people told me. Since I was worried about this particular tranny already showing signs of where when I picked it up on craiglist I went a bit...
  16. Leaking oil

Do not get me wrong, I completely agree that your new vehicle should not leak and would be very frustrated by the service you received. That said a rear main seal leaking is not a huge deal. Sucks you have to wait until May, however I would have no concerns driving the Jeep daily until then...
  17. Full Plug-in Electric Wrangler in 2020!

This will have to be quick as I am out the door for some beer league hockey. First I was giving you permission to throw that stat out, you called me on it being biased and I agreed. Second if I admit that PHEV doesn’t stand on its own merit, what would your response be to the subsidies we have...
  18. Full Plug-in Electric Wrangler in 2020!

Ok so throw out the Lazard stats. I agree they can lean a bit liberal, not that there claims are false. What do you say in response to the stats from the IMF? They still disprove your previous statement and they don’t have the same bias as Lazard. Also if you concede renewable is cheaper to...
  19. Full Plug-in Electric Wrangler in 2020!

You are correct about trading on false economies, however the amount of subsidies that fossil fuels receive dwarf the subsidies received by renewable. So while I agree that we should be concerned about subsidies you conclusion that subsidies "prop up solar and wind" could not be more incorrect...
