  1. Wife drove in 4L for 20 Miles at 60 miles per hour.

Man, this is great stuff...read all the posts. I came to a few conclusions. - if your spouse says they are happy with a crappy car while you're driving a $50K Jeep, you're not really listening to them - The OP is the one who really drove the Jeep in 4-low and is asking on behalf of his wife as...
  2. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

If the 392 was 100% made in USA as in all parts, electronics, etc made in USA, we'd be paying $150K for it. Just the way the world works.
  3. Spare Tires Shakes

Just go buy the Teraflex HD Alpha tire care. It allows you to adjust height and depth of the new tire and also relocates the rear view camera so it's back in the right spot. I have one and it's perfect and I can still use the stock OEM tirestops...
  4. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

If I didn't have the Rubicon, although on loan at the moment with the daughter, I would lean more to the 392. I've overcome the sticker shock now knowing it's not just an engine swap and there's more to it. Overall, I still think the Wrangler's in general are a but overpriced, but isn't...
  5. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

Well, now that the Wrangler has graduated into the $70K plus price point it makes sense to cross shop with TRX especially when most Wranglers aren't used for hard core off-roading and mostly overland, baja, mall crawling, or just plain having fun with the top off. I doubt even most TRXs will...
  6. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

OK, I somewhat retract my previous statement of this being insanely priced. Jeep is not doing a very good job of publicizing this new Wrangler. After some research and googling, it seems there is quite a bit more to it than just a Semi. It'll be interesting to see where pricing lands on...
  7. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

Agree, but top end Rubicon 3.6 is $60K MSRP. Opt for the diesel and it’s $4500 more. I’m sure the Hemi will at least be $10K more, so possible $70K if we’re being optimistic. Base price for a Rubicon is $47K, so you probably could get a base level 392 at $57K but that’s with zero options...
  8. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

And to add to my point of $75K Jeep with the quality of a $40K vehicle from Jeep. Go to the issues/repairs section of the forum. Most owners who paid $50K and have found issues like paint defects, steering problems, lose fuses causing all sorts of electrical issues, DOA on the drive home, etc...
  9. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

I wasn’t criticizing anyone. My first comment was I was happy for those who chose to buy it. I was criticizing Jeep more or less by only allowing the option of the 392 in their top tier rubicon at a price range that seems excessive. And then only proving the option since the bronco was...
  10. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

Its great that everyone who’s getting one or thinking about ordering one is excited and happy. But there’s no way this 392 is worth $75K plus whatever dealer markups will be in the first few months of release. It’s insane how much Wranglers have gone up in price just over the past few years...
  11. Jeep JL / JLU Half Doors Official Press Release and Photos

This is crap. Jeep has been slow rolling all the accessories they announced in 2017 when they rolled out the JL. Now after close to 4 years they release half doors and yet you still can’t buy them without buying a new Jeep. I’m getting close to being done with them. I’ve got my JLU Rubicon...
  12. Preproduction Jeep Rubicon 392 at Orlando Show

Fully loaded rubicon is damn near $60K now. How much will this be...$75K. Ram TRX is pushing high $80’s with just a few options. Who the hell can afford these? It’s like a $15K premium for the motor. Add in the Dealer Markups whijc are guaranteed for this. Why don’t they just build a...
  13. Dealer wants me to sign a new lease contract

True, but was just saying dealers seem to be able to do anything they want. Once the OP returned the vehicle and got back the trade-in I’m sure they signed something nullifying the deal. Had they kept the Jeep they could have probably worked something out and/or enforced the contract as signed...
  14. Dealer wants me to sign a new lease contract

C’mon we’re talking loan officers, banks, and loans here so anything can happen. Dealers will book deals at risk in order to meet quota at the end of month/quarter, etc. What that means is they’ll push a deal through even if all details aren’t clear but they have a good feeling they can. They...
  15. Colorado JL OEM Upgraded Wheels

In new near condition. Does not include TPMS, just the wheels. Set of 5. Asking $500 OBO. Pickup only for now. Located in Colorado Springs, CO.
  16. Wreck in a leased JL

And nobody cares how the deer is doing. Wow. Like many have said hitting a deer goes under comprehensive coverage so it won’t count against you and your rates “should” not go up. I did a comprehensive claim once, rates did not go up, but it’s on my insurance record as a no-fault claim. I’m...
  17. Dealer wants me to sign a new lease contract

Great thread...still reading through it but wanted to post. I’ve leased once in my life and quickly realized it was not a good deal for us. It was simply the fact we put too many miles on our cars...on average in a non-pandemic year around 20,000. So leasing doesn’t make sense for us. When...
  18. Backup Camera Extender - Anything New Come Out?

Get the Teraflex HD carrier. It’s much more flexible that the stock carrier when it comes to removing the brake light if you need to use the spare...it just slides off. It extends your camera out perfectly. Also places your wheel back to the stock position closer to the tailgate.
  19. First payment today

OP...congrats on the first payment. Will feel even better when you make the last payment. As an aside on this thread... Paying cash upfront doesn’t always make sense especially when rates are 0, 1.9, and even 2.9. If you have $60k cash and want to buy a vehicle where you can get a loan for...
  20. Time to say goodbye...for now

Yeah, not looking forward to the move to the east coast. I thought about the Ram 1500 as well. Even the TRX, but that’s gonna be pricey and not sure if I’ll have any real use for what it offers. It’ll be about a year before I get anything so plenty of time to decide.
