  1. Gosh. This is brutal. LOL. Deciding. Sahara v. Sport S... with a twist.

Haves Sport S. I bought Rubi takeoff rims with 33’s for $1000 on Facebook marketplace. I started off saying I was good with the 245’s. That lasted about 7 months. Don’t miss anything else that was in the Saharas I looked at. Dual is a must in my opinion. Flipping back the roof at a red light...
  2. Typical jeep owner aside, there is just no reason for people to own a Jeep Wrangler

Author of that probably the same type of idiot that speeds around on black ice thinking he’s fine because he has 4 wheel drive. Then wonders why he can’t stop when he slams on the brakes
  3. JLU Wipers Ice up fast

Gonna get the Duralast winter for next year. Added the 5/8” square plugs to the defrost vent in the middle to force the air to the outside. Seemed a little better in actually defrosting the windshield on the sides. No significant snow since to compare
  4. How are your cloth seats holding up?

I have had mine since August 2019. Love the Jeep cloth seats. Comfortable and not cheap looking. My wife’s Pilot, we had to go with leather because the new cloth seats on the dealer lot already had pills / looked like a $5 area rug. Definitely glad I did not go with the leather.
  5. JLU Wipers Ice up fast

2020 was mild wrt snow in NJ. First real snowstorm today dropping 18+”. Although the Wrangler handled the snow flawlessly on the road, the wipers kept repeatedly icing up rather quickly. Needed to scrape them multiple times as ice kept accumulating on them and the windshield. Any...
  6. Florida Guy Happy But Frozen

Try it in the snow. Even more fun. Wool hat heated seats and steering wheel. Windows open Freedom top off.
  7. Wrangler in the winter?

I initially didn’t want heated seats, but so glad I decided on cold weather package. Cabin temperature not ever an issue. Heated seats and wheel great for riding with Freedom Panels open in light snow. Enjoy
  8. Picking a Wrangler...could use some help.

Here’s a pic of my Red Sport S with Rubi takeoff 33’s and Rubi Suspension next to a Stock Sport S. I gained 2” when I upgraded to Rubi suspension. Definitely higher now. Use a tape measure if you want to compare apples to apples. Don’t waste your time driving around to dealers to see what...
  9. Picking a Wrangler...could use some help.

Love my Sport S with Rubi Takeoff tires wheels and Suspension. Recommend safety package for lane change and cross path warning. Wife’s car has adaptive cruise and I hate it. I have dual top which I’m very happy with. Highly recommend, but if I had to pick only 1 , I’d go with my soft top now...
  10. Rubicon vs sport suspension height?

I have a dual top. Changed Rubi takeoff wheels/ 33’s over summer. Put hard top on Labor Day. Measurements I gave were with with hard top day before and day after changing suspension.

  13. Spacer lift or Rubi takeoffs?

Re leveling spacers When I had my Rubi suspension done I asked if I needed leveling spacers. Was told by Globex (reputable mod shop in NJ) only needed if I was planning to add SS bumper/ winch. Had the LCA from Mopar lift installed. Drives smooth
  14. Which model should I buy- Rubicon or?

Believe it boils to A can you afford it B are you planning to wheel? Live in NJ. Need to be able to get to work no matter the conditions, but not doing any crazy off roading. Got a 2019 Sport s for $39500 (msrp 44000). Was debating Sport S vs Rubi. Similar package Rubi would have run me $49k...
  15. Spacer lift or Rubi takeoffs?

Just picked up my 2019 today after getting Rubi takeoff suspension installed with the Mopar LCA's. Paid $625 for 1. suspension 2. to have the TPMS sensors pulled from my stock tires and installed in my Rubi takeoff 285's I've been driving on and 3. Alignment. Gained solid 2". Measured height...
  16. Just ordered my Jeep... Now what?

Search for build hardtop cart on the thread. $40 in materials. Swapped my soft top back to the hard top with my 5’5” 120 pound wife yesterday. Soft top stores easily on that same cart after. Didn’t think I’d ever need the soft top until I put it on. Flipped it back in 5 seconds every time I...
  17. Tried (and failed) negotiating on a Rubicon today...thoughts?

Don't think they can hold you to anything if they never mentioned pricing or no deposit
  18. Tried (and failed) negotiating on a Rubicon today...thoughts?

Most importantly, get what you want. Don't settle and get close to what you want. You'll regret it every time you see the car you really wanted. Used AutoTrader to find the car I wanted. No discounts were available in local NJ dealers. Everything negotiated over phone and confirmed via email...
