  1. Am I a good candidate for an ecodiesel?

I drive mine every day. My commute to work is about 35 miles, first 5 miles is stop and go when going to work, making the return trip the opposite. I'm a shift worker, so one of the trip usually has stop an go traffic... I'm in the Houston area. I got about 23 mpg when it was stock, now I...
  2. Firmware 11.2.7 + 11.2.8

@WranglerMan I got a call saying my jeep was done, however I'm working nights and I was already here so I haven't picked it up yet, or talked to the techs. The service advisor said that it was a computer issue, and that it had to be reset. I'm only assuming this means they had to flash it...
  3. Firmware 11.2.7 + 11.2.8

no issues, no additional changes. I’ve talked to support about the Mac updates, and I’ve gotten some good directions from them and have been happy with it so far. I let it restart a few times. I tried cold start and a few things. Nothing worked. im thinking it might not be related to the...
  4. Firmware 11.2.7 + 11.2.8

Just updated mine, and lots of weird stuff happening! First my shifter started blinking, Sahara showed up on the dash when I have a Rubicon, and lots of service this and that started popping up. I use an Apple, so I unmarried it first, and did a full reboot. That’s when I noticed the shifter...
  5. Firmware 11.2.7 + 11.2.8

The shortcut for Lightshow hasn’t been working for me. You know the set+ and Highbeam. Lots of other features have been working, but I haven’t had a chance to try out everything. Since I use the lightshow for emergency response, and the shortcut isn’t working for me. I’m going to have to...
  6. 4xe vs Ecodiesel... Help me decide!

I have one of the first EcoDiesel Wranglers released. Ordering it the day the banks opened, I received it in March of 2020. It’s got 28k miles on it and I took it through Moab UT, and several parts of Colorado during the summer of 2020. I’m running 38 inch tires and a 3.5/4.5 inch lift. It’s...
  7. backup camera suddenly stopped working

Mine just did it. Got in this morning to go to work. Screen was all black when I started backing up. I work a 12 hour shift, hopefully it works when I leave to go home. It’s currently at 28k miles. 2020 EcoDiesel. update: Once I started to up to leave work, it was working. No extra steps...
  8. List of Chrysler MS-12991 Engine Oil for the 3.0 EcoDiesel Jeep Wrangler

That’s a good point. I’ve looked into it. It’s about as clear as mud, so take it for what it’s worth. I’d use the new API SP https://www.api.org/products-and-services/engine-oil/eolcs-categories-and-classifications/oil-categories
  9. List of Chrysler MS-12991 Engine Oil for the 3.0 EcoDiesel Jeep Wrangler

Again, went to the dealership for the Jeep Wave oil change at 26,180 miles. They used part number 68001332PC for the oil. Seeing this on the receipt, I walked over to the parts counter and asked if I could see this part number. It turned out to be Rotella T6! After googling it and verifying...
  10. List of Chrysler MS-12991 Engine Oil for the 3.0 EcoDiesel Jeep Wrangler

edited it. @NBB was right. The MST is the MS 12991 where as the European one is not. Sorry about my mistake in including it.
  11. Let’s Talk Springs and Shocks for a minute

For springs, I tried the Rock Krawler Diesel Specific 3.5 inch springs in front, but the rear were regular 3.5 inch JLU springs. Once installed I noticed the rear sat slightly lower. I wasn’t exactly sure why this was, but once I loaded up for overlanding/trail wheeling, the rear would sit...
  12. LET'S SEE YOUR 3.0 DRIVTRAIN MODS

I’ve been hoping to see a 2lo shift plate, like the one Teraflex made for the JKs. It was very pleasant to have on the trail between obstacles.
  13. LET'S SEE YOUR 3.0 DRIVTRAIN MODS

I’m not sure about the difference in width. I’ve seen rear trusses before, but I don’t think it’s needed until some aggressive off roading happens. For example, I’m still on all stock rear axle components on mine. Stock driveshafts as well. Keep in mind, I really take it easy... When I break...
  14. LET'S SEE YOUR 3.0 DRIVTRAIN MODS

It depends on what you’re doing. The EcoDiesel has the D44 up front of on all models, just not with the upgrades. I go rock crawling in on trails so for me it was a must, even with the rubicon. It’s also worth noting that my ball joints (that connect the knuckles to the axle) are all worn out...
  15. Who has the most miles on their diesel Wrangler?

Let me go take a picture of my mileage! 20,841 Picked up from the dealership 3/14/2020. I’m assuming I was probably one of the first 100-200 to receive mine.
  16. DEF/Exhaust Protection

I’m going with Aluminum full skid. Just haven’t narrowed down what company yet. Really want to go as light as possible, but honestly, this thing doesn’t care so much about weight. It’s on 38’s and 3.5 lift front, 4.5 rear. I’ve had mine EcoDiesel since March 14 of 2020 and it currently...
  17. Motoristx's Diesel Jeep White JLUR story with pictures.

Added the Rock Slide Engineering Step Slider Set For Jeep Wrangler JL 4DR. Also have the Skid plates and added the lights. All installed by Jeep Slop Shop in Kemah, Tx. This is something I've wanted to do for a while. I have degenerative disks in my back now, and the 38's combined with the...
  18. Your 3.0L Diesel's MPG's, share with the class.

still 3.73s. It’s mostly in 8th gear on the highway. Keep in mind, Houston is flat. If I get a really strong headwind it will downshift, and when driving up the overpasses it will downshift till I’m past it. A friend is running 40’s on his gas Gladiator Rubicon, and had to regear from 4.10 at...
  19. Your 3.0L Diesel's MPG's, share with the class.

On 38’s w/full beadlocks and 3.5/4.5 inch lift. Just turned 20,000 miles. 20.6 mpg average. 20% city driving I floor it a lot and really try to keep it under 70mph last weigh in is 5400 lbs loaded for every day driving.
