  1. I may be parting ways with INDOMINUS tomorrow...

I am not sure if this helps, but I know very well what you are going through. Years (many) ago, I was about to be married, my perceived vehicular needs were changing, and I decided to give up my CJ5 for an F250. My CJ5 was a V8 transplant with many custom items/mods, that I had poured my $...
  2. How much does it cost to special order?

I see you are in San Diego; you may want to give Poway CJDR a try. I ordered my JL from them, and got it for well under MSRP. They are a smallish dealer, but my experiences there in both sales and service have been great so far. Regardless of custom order or not, you will be paying the...
  3. JL Rotopax Mount - "Adventure Caddie"

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new Rubi! :like: :jk: Your exhaust question is posted in the wrong thread; head on over to the Power forum, and you’ll find multiple exhaust threads, where you are more likely to get the info you want.
  4. 392 Experience So Far...

Great write-up! I can really feel your enthusiasm, and I totally get it! Your first post in this thread had me thinking about my ol’ V8 transplant CJ-5 (340 Buick, and a lotta other mods). I remember the V8 sound through it’s custom dual exhaust, and the nearly instant gratification when you...
  5. Ca/Az suggestions with lakes/streams more "woodsy" type

Sedona is a great place to visit! Things I've enjoyed there include: Broken Arrow...a great “half day” off-road trail; awesome scenery. The trailhead is just out of town; you can start early, enjoy some Jeep fun, and be back in town for lunch. Fay Canyon...an easy out-and-back hike that...
  6. Sedona trip suggestions

Broken Arrow is a great “half day” off-road trail; awesome scenery. The trailhead is just out of town; you can start early, enjoy some Jeep fun, and be back in town for lunch. Fay Canyon is an easy out-and-back hike that takes you into a canyon with the red rocks towering above you. Also, it...
  7. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Looks great! :like: How did the installation go, and more importantly, how does it sound?
  8. Which YouTuber Makes Your Favorite Content?

I enjoy watching Australian content, particularly: 4WD24/7 - not much Jeep content, but lots of overlanding and technical content; these guys take on some brutal tracks with fully-loaded overlanding rigs. This is a good channel for comparing IFS and SFA rigs, with plenty of wheels in the air...
  9. Rear End issue bad differential bearings

LSD stands for Limited Slip Differential. It is an option on trim levels that do not include lockers, and this option also gets you a Dana 44 rear axle. Jeep uses clutch-type LSDs on the Wrangler. I like having an LSD on my JL, and so far, mine has been trouble free...but some Forum members...
  10. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Same here...but dealer was great; overall process took less time than they originally stated, and I am very pleased with the steering improvement.
  11. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Aloha! You can contact @JeepCares via a PM on the Forum. Just click on their icon and hit "start conversation". You may want to show the dealer the TSB; you can access the TSB at: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/attachments/tsb-08-003-21-pdf.420454/
  12. Water pooling on hood hinge latch?

I use Aero Cosmetics Wash and Wax All on all exterior (and some interior) surfaces. Super easy to apply; I use the “wet method” on the exterior surfaces after washing my JL. Leaves a deep glossy shine on painted surfaces with good subsequent water beading, and looks good without leaving too...
  13. Southern California dealers with new steering gear box available?

If you are in the greater San Diego area, you might try Poway CDJR...mine came in sooner than promised there, and the installation was very satisfactory.
  14. Grand Canyon South Entrance

Sedona is an easy (and beautiful, via Oak Creek Canyon) drive away, where you can do Broken Arrow (great trail, did it last fall) and others.
  15. Looking to purchase my 1st Wrangler this week! Could use some insight

Congratulations! Smart move on the tow package...be sure to post a photo upon delivery! :like::jk:
  16. What did you PARK NEXT to in your Jeep today?

I think you may have just discovered the long-lost parents of the angry grill wranglers!
  17. ESS Battery Cable Caution (Renamed)

Clear, concise explanation of what has the potential to be a vexing problem...well done! :like:
  18. Trim Remover Kit suggestions?

Picked these up at Harbor Freight; about 9 bucks for the set. These work great...much kinder on fasteners than prying with a screwdriver! ;)
  19. Jeep humor waiting room ( ** NO POLITICS ** )

I like your headlight lamp idea...check out my solar powered garden bench...
  20. Should I build a Wrangler or hold out for the right used JL? Should I even BUY a Wrangler?

Consider adding the tow package; it includes a 240 amp alternator, 700 amp battery, 7 and 4 pin wiring harness, class 2 hitch, and IMHO the important factory-installed aux switches (with super-easy to use pre-wiring - makes adding electrical accessories a breeze). Also, although a stick driver...
