  1. Recall Notice 21V-028 [1/28/21]: Manual Transmission / Clutch Overheat Covers All 2018-2021 Jeep Wranglers Produced by January 22, 2021

Yes that's what I got from their statement, and if that's the case I will not be buying another Jeep. I won't buy another vehicle without a manual unless it's electric. Looks like FCA just doesn't want my business.
  2. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) on 2018-2020 JL Manuals [overheating clutch pressure plate]

Yeah... This is my only vehicle so I can't really park it. Thanks for this excellent info. As I said, it's been over 5 weeks since I had my JL inspected. I just called today and got the "We're waiting on FCA" line. I will look back through this thread and find the number to call. I don't...
  3. High lift jack mount for rear door on stock JLUR 19

All, I have the Teraflex High-Lift mount for JLs and it is one fat side of beef. I will post a review soon, but I will just say now that I feel it's worth the money and a great purchase.
  4. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) on 2018-2020 JL Manuals [overheating clutch pressure plate]

Greetings all. I haven't read all 66 pages of this thread but wanted to chime in and ask a question. I took my JL in about 5 weeks ago and had them inspect everything. They said I do need a part and that the part is not yet available. This seems in line with what I am seeing here, but they...
  5. High lift jack mount for rear door on stock JLUR 19

Doesn't say if it works with a 35" spare. That would be good to know.
  6. Android Auto "Wireless"

I don't think you would want to do this anyway. Battery drain would start to be an issue for any drive longer than just a few minutes. Plugging a phone in takes zero effort and 1)keeps the battery charged and 2) helps keep ass-hats from dicking with their damn phone while they are driving. I...
  7. Opinions on the manual transmission

^^ THIS ^^ 12.5k miles on my JLR and I don't know if I will ever get used to this clutch. Previous vehicle was a VW GTI (dropped, chipped) and that thing was so much fun to drive. The manual on the VW was awesome and I knew I would have some adjustments to make, but I have had my JLR about...
  8. Check out this baby... I don't have the words.

Oh I have some words all right... But none of them are nice.
  9. Don’t be this guy...

He must have forgotten to change the wheel oil filter, or maybe he had a tire fluid leak. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  10. New Mopar Steel Bumper for JL / JLU Released

They're fantastic. I keep them around 30psi and they are quite comfortable and quiet. They perform very well off road, too.
  11. New Mopar Steel Bumper for JL / JLU Released

Oh it's just a 4ft Firestik you can get anywhere.
  12. New Mopar Steel Bumper for JL / JLU Released

YUP. My bumper isn't anything terribly fancy, but it looks great and was only $329 It weighs TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Approximately this much:
  13. Test drove a new Jeep Wrangler

Damn that Nova is GORGEOUS. Wat??? My 2-door JL rides just fine. No bumpy ride here.
  14. Proof The Wrangler Diesel Could Have Had A Manual

You forgot putting on makeup while knitting a sweater while taking a nap.
  15. Proof The Wrangler Diesel Could Have Had A Manual

If we wanted towing power, we'd buy pickups. Towing capacity is unchanged in the diesel version anyway.
  16. Proof The Wrangler Diesel Could Have Had A Manual

Sure, but that cost could be bundled into the package. Automatic transmissions cost $2,000 more as it is, so it's not like up-charging is a foreign concept. As I have said before, I am not the only person who would pay more to get the configuration I want. Maybe most people don't think of...
  17. Proof The Wrangler Diesel Could Have Had A Manual

Very possible! Regardless, I mostly posted this thread to respond to all those who have said (in other threads talking about the diesel) something to the effect of: - the diesel won't fit in a 2-door - a manual\clutch would be impossible to use with a diesel because of *insert reason here* -...
  18. Proof The Wrangler Diesel Could Have Had A Manual

THIS GUY GETS IT. I also believe that adding a beefier clutch disk and pressure plate could possibly (POSSIBLY!!) be all that's needed to handle the increased torque. This is what is done on other vehicles that get chipped and suddenly have significantly more HP\torque than stock and need an...
