  1. Livernois Mycalibrator Tune Claims 50HP Gains (on E85) for V6 JL Wrangler

It is time for my review it has been two weeks since everything loaded. Review is lengthy, but reviews mostly are. My Jeep is mostly a stock 4 door Rubicon. Stubby front with winch and a drop in AFE dry, only aftermarket to date. Ordering – Send a PM to @Livernois Motorsports on here. Get an...
  2. Redrock or awe cat back exaust

@Crawldad - Wouldn't exhaust fall under your "lifestyle" upgrade? I would consider it lifestyle anyways. I hate the boat anchor look on the rear of the Jeep. Lifting and hiding, sounds like Botox for the Jeep. I would definitely say Botox is lifestyle. :CWL:
  3. Air Intake Question

It's amazing how big of chambers are on the stock intake tube too. I noticed when removing the PCM for the Livernois tune. There is one that hangs down, right at the 90* that sits behind the fan. In the words of Trump, "it's YUGE!"
  4. Borla Climber Touring Catback Exhaust - Sounds Clips

This has got to be the best sounding hi-tuck exhaust so far.
  5. 1.5” Spring Option

Dang @CloakedWillys, must have been a lunch break and surfing the internet! Yeah, I thought you all brought this up JK/JKU's. I had your lift on my JK, 2.5" with all the goodies (bought through the gold trade) and absolutely loved it. The years have settled me down and looking to go lower key...
  6. 1.5” Spring Option

Started thinking of this with mine as well. I guess on the 4 door, you could always go with the 2 door specific coils. IDK how the would handle the extra weight, but it would definitely give less than advertised.
  7. Livernois Mycalibrator Tune Claims 50HP Gains (on E85) for V6 JL Wrangler

Just waiting for the tune to come back from Livernois now. Will a review next week after putting some miles on it.:time:
  8. 3.6 engine and 87 octane a no-no

What I don't understand is the hate on people that say they run the higher octane gas. Not hurting anybody but themselves as we are the ones spending 60-70 cents more a gallon (or at least here in NETX).If you all get by with 87 or lower, that is great and I am glad you are able to spend less. I...
  9. Banks Ram Air Cold Air Intake

@sourdough Haha, bad memory on my part. Thought I looked back at those threads. Excuse my oversight. Maybe opening up the faux vents don't do anything. I figure they are more of a suction: promoting air through the grill and giving it a place to go out and up. But the vents opening up I don't...
  10. Banks Ram Air Cold Air Intake

@sourdough I have seen this picture multiple times, but haven't asked yet. Why didn't you just open up the Rubicon faux air vents? You pulled the hood liner anyways, so it would have accomplished the same thing you did and had FORM and FUNCTION. You would have been $500 lighter is all. I for...
  11. 3.6 engine and 87 octane a no-no

If this has to do with elevation, I'm at 500 feet (Northeast Texas). If I run 87 (Top Tier or grocery store brand), I have pinging while running around town. Most of my driving is this. Highways it would do fine while cruising, but any sort of additional throttle input would cause the rattle...
  12. Anyone have buyer's remorse for ordering the 3.6 instead of the 2.0 Turbo.

In light of the new 392, I think we should call this the 220 (two-twenty). Has a nice ring to it. Comparing to the 122t, I definitely have zero regrets. @lightsout The 3.6 does better on the 93/91 as well or at least in my experience. I only have 87, 89 or 93. The 93 takes away the engine...
  13. Anyone have buyer's remorse for ordering the 3.6 instead of the 2.0 Turbo.

Maybe he has regerts (spelling intentional) about getting the 2.0t over the 3.6L. Hell, I could have the heavy foot in the world or drive 90 down the Interstate and still not get the 12 MPG's. Either way, the Pentastar is a great engine and nobody should knock it. The 2.0t has been a great...
  14. Livernois Mycalibrator Tune Claims 50HP Gains (on E85) for V6 JL Wrangler

Pulled the trigger on this today. I am a stock Rubicon except for a AFE dry filter. When I get it installed and some miles underneath my belt, I will post another review. I already run 93 octane in the 3.6, so keeping with that. I will not go to e85, no place around here has it. The 93 has good...
  15. Anyone have buyer's remorse for ordering the 3.6 instead of the 2.0 Turbo.

With all this octane talk, I do put 93 in my 3.6. The 87 stuff here in Texas (even from Exxon or Shell) would make the engine sound like a beater. Sucks with gas price going up and about $0.70 more a gallon. But no engine knock is mucho bueno.
  16. Anyone ever hear back from AWE after placing an order?

Standard trail edition for the JLU. Which if it’s made when ordered, I could see it taking longer. I know you all do more than just Jeeps.
  17. Anyone ever hear back from AWE after placing an order?

Was looking over at Northridge 4x4 for parts. Looked up AWE trail ediition for the JLU. Will drop ship straight for AWE, but will take 68 days! hopefully your doesn't take this long.
  18. Anyone ever hear back from AWE after placing an order?

They are a member, @Josh/AWE . Try including them in this thread and see if they chime in. I know there is another member, @DuRsT , waiting for a Trail Edition that hasn't shown up either. They are on my short-list of mods for the Jeep. I like the Trail Edition. Wish they would do a trail...
  19. Anyone have buyer's remorse for ordering the 3.6 instead of the 2.0 Turbo.

Absolutely zero regret between the choices. I did think long and hard this year about going to the 3.0D, but my commute would kill that engine. 2 miles each way to work and home for lunch, so during the week roughly 50 miles of in town stop sign to stop sign. The 3.6l sounds great, after...
  20. 2021 JLUR 3.6L AWE Trail Edition Exhaust

All this time waiting and AWE had to do it for us. They now have a YouTube video of the 3.6 with the Trail edition. Sounds Good for the 3.6. Take off it great, but pretty mild while just cruising.
