  1. Just got home from Bronco event...

I’ve owned a number of Ford vehicles. I simply won’t buy the first couple years of a brand new model. And while that’s true of most vehicles, it’s especially true of Ford.
  2. Can the math work out to justify a 4xe?

Ask people in the Southeast today how they feel about gas and ICE. Have two co-workers tell me they spent 3 hours today trying to find gas for their big ICE trucks. Plug in baby.
  3. Can the math work out to justify a 4xe?

Yeah no. My 2019 JL with 33” tires got 17mpg lifetime (17000 miles). I drive mostly city and 20-30 mile commute. Your math doesn’t add up, gas price is $3.10-3.26 per gallon (87 octane, 93 is 3.80+) near my house. Gas prices are rising and it’s going to go nowhere but up over the next 2-4...
  4. Can’t decide - 4xe, V6 or V4

Not sure why you feel this way Chrysler/Stellantis has offered the PHEV Pacifica in the US for many years and a plug in Jeep Compass and plug in Jeep Renegade outside the US already. There is nothing amazing going on here, it's pretty standard PHEV stuff.
  5. Can the math work out to justify a 4xe?

Well your comparing two very different Wranglers. It's kinda a silly comparison, it's like saying a base 4 cylinder Camaro is $14K more than a V8 Camaro? Okay. Most people buying a 4xe were likely not shopping a base Wrangler. Even a decently configured Wrangler Unlimited Sport is going to...
  6. Can the math work out to justify a 4xe?

I’m not sure what your comparing but my somewhat loaded 4xe Rubicon (cold weather, safety group, proximity, premium top, and it comes with many other standard features over the regular Rubicon) works out to $43,600 after dealer discount and $8000 tax credit. Thats cheaper than a similarly...
  7. I laughed at all the 392 buyers! 😥 what a dummy.

This whole market is a perfect storm. Supply and demand issues because of Covid, and now continued parts shortages along with tons of people with cash. It won’t last and if you are paying attention to the oil markets they are expecting production shortages and rising prices this summer. I...
  8. $2000 Price Increase For 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe

Strange. I ordered mine on 4/16 (it's built and being shipped). My window sticker matches the order from my dealer which was before the $1810 price increase.
  9. Connecticut Oracle Oculus Bi-LED Barely Used $400 + shipping

Purchased brand new for $530+ from CJ Pony Parts on 4/8/21 and barely used 2 days before selling my JL for a new 4XE which has LED standards. These lights use the factory harness for DRL+low beam+high beam. Huge upgrade over stick. My loss is your gain. $400 + shipping continental US only...
  10. JL Wrangler vs New Ford Bronco

And Ford essentially gave up on passenger cars. There is no question the Bronco will be more profitable than a Focus and Taurus.
  11. 4xE Order Status??

It just makes no sense. Like your vehicle got lost in the system or something. I am sure you are incredibly frustrated.
  12. $2000 Price Increase For 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe

I bet the 2022 Wrangler has a price increase coming and 4xe will stay with current pricing.
  13. $2000 Price Increase For 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe

This is just my guess. Jeep wanted to see the demand for the 4xe, and my guess is that it is very popular and may have exceeded their target goals. My other guess is the 4xe is likely less profitable than an ICE Wrangler and with the current state of affairs (Stellantis having to shutdown many...
  14. Are you all using Premium gas ?

I have owned many high compression turbo vehicles in my life and none of them have ever recommended anything but premium fuel (91-93 octane). The 2.0T in the Wrangler is running 10:1, and while the engine can adjust and pull timing you may still be introducing knock, etc and limiting...
  15. Battery better then I thought!

Not to mention the 2.0T motor in the Wrangler (whether 4xe or pure ICE) recommends premium fuel. Closest premium to me is $3.50-3.70 per gallon right now and climbing. By July 4th I fully expect it will be $4 a gallon.
  16. 1 month with the Wrangler 4XE

I 100% think you will see impovements in battery technology over the next 2-3 years. GM and Tesla have both promised it. I am not sure the size and weight will change much, but the range is expected to rival ICE vehicles. For example GM is expecting their improvements to yield at least a 450...
  17. JL resale values are insane!

You are right, but I have used it several times and always got more than the KBB price. I take good care of my cars (I really enjoy detailing and do my own clay, buffing/polishing, and pro ceramic coatings) and most dealers know they can put it on the lot the same day with little to no work on...
  18. $2000 Price Increase For 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe

Yes, this price increase really sucks, especially for people right on the bubble or ordering or had issues with their dealer or an order and it went in barely late. As a buyer the only thing you can do is aggressively price your trade-in. Trade in values are record high, I have been buying and...
  19. $2000 Price Increase For 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe

Makes sense. Local trade-in usually is preferred by me too for tax savings. Good luck!
  20. $2000 Price Increase For 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe

Look into Vroom. They offered me way more than dealer trades.
