  3. Anyone have 2.0 Turbo regret?

I lost all charging on Ophir pass and had to limp to Silverton, where the problem fixed itself... I have to believe it was caused by the etorque crawling at low speeds .... other than that one issue. Not a problem... my wife's 6cyl jlr gets just as good overall mileage.... which is...
  4. Anyone have 2.0 Turbo regret?

I think the difference you are seeing is the non ethanol part... I see no difference in 93 to 87 with the normal 10% ish ethanol. I'm also at 28k. I've run 93 once since about 10k miles.. just to make sure nothing has changed with the break-in and greater mileage.... on another note...

  7. 3.6 vs 2.0

on the discussion of 2.0 and octanes... i have been running 86 in my 2.0 rubicon for over a week now... 2 fill ups.... my avg is .6 mpg higher than when i was running 91..... i do the same commute every day and not much driving outside that during this time..... im pretty happy..... i...
  8. Is there truth to this?

but is the oil flowing well at cold temps..... especially as tight as the journals are being made these days ?? i always let my car warm until the temp gauge starts to move... then drive.... thats just me.....

  13. 3.6 vs 2.0

what mileage did you get at those speeds ? i drove from santa fe to austin pretty much 70 mph speed limits whole way... and couldnt get better than upper mid teens mpg..... mostly around 75
  14. 3.6 vs 2.0

we have both....... theres no real benefit to the 2.0 unless you stay in town... on hwy at 70 plus mpg is tiny bit better on 3.6..... everywhere else they are tit for tat.... or wait til diesel.......
  15. Off road pages again

i had to laugh at this. i was driving to phoenix... and the terrain out there will mess with you.... a few times i would have sworn i was climbing... but the MPG was getting better and the off road pages said i was descending... and vice versa..... was pretty cool

  18. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel kit installed

i havent looked at mine close enough to see where the air inlet is... older models its below the passenger headlight.... i dont think the depth of crossing is as much of a concern as the approach... if you are entering the water at a steep decline you could dip the front end in where the...
  19. Anyone have 2.0 Turbo regret?

i get roughly 21.5 to 22.5 consistently with 91 octane at 7000' ...... that drops significantly at 70-75 mph.... where my wifes will get 24 avg commuting and 22 to 23 on an interstate road trip at above 75 mph pretty steadily
