Sunrider for the trip home from work. Top down most other times.
Haven't removed the top completely, or removed the frame. Seems like a lot of work for just the "look". I already look good, why make it more difficult for everyone else to compete?;)
I spend most of my days in a mushroom closet...
Just compared the printout from October that I did for my build on Jeep.com to the same build this morning.
Over all, $650 increase.
LED Lighting Group +$100
8.4" Radio +$100
Prox Entry +$100
Tan Leather Seats +$100
Just because +$250
Installed the Diabolical Inc. Slipstream cargo enclosure.
The enclosure I bought was designed for the 2 door, with the rear seat removed.
The available instructions were for the 4 door models, so it took a little patience, puzzle work, and a couple of YouTube videos to get it done. But, it came...
Love it, 'cept for one small thing...
Backing my wife's Forester up the driveway is as simple as letting out on the clutch; never touching the gas.
2 out of 3 times, I kill the Jeep backing it up the driveway.
Then again, maybe it's the nitwit in the seat and not the gearing...
Part of my order from Quadratec came in, and I spent an hour installing the door sill plates, and removing that annoying third brake light to put the ring light behind the spare.
Waiting on the ARB compressor.
Installed the Stay n Play Duo brake controller. I put the main box under the driver's seat, drilled a hole in the firewall to run the wires and air line. I still need to tuck the rest of the wiring and air line back behind the trim.
Towed the jeep behind the motorhome a few hundred miles since...
I love them.
Took a bit to get the deflators set up. Air down, measure, adjust, air up, air down, measure...etc.
The time was spent airing up and airing down. With all but one wheel, I had the pressures set where I wanted by the second air down. The problem child turned out to be the...
Mine was delivered January this year. When I pulled into the dealership I saw it and it appeared to have a slight lisp to the passenger side.
A couple of us moved the owners manual to the center console, and the jeep sits level now.
De-Badged the rig today. Not sure what I'm going to do with the Trail Rated badge yet. Don't know how I feel about an empty circle indention on the fender after I remove it. I may just plasti-dip it and call it done.
Here's a better shot of the seat bottom.
After putting a few seat miles in, I have some more tucking to do (which was expected). I think I'll let it warm up a bit more outside before I do. Bring me summer!
Installed the PRP seat covers. Lots of patience required.;)
I removed the front seats (back seat has been out since the first weekend of ownership), mainly because the temperature was in the teens. Installation was pretty straight forward, but it does take a lot of working the material to get...
I installed the Mopar Tow Vehicle Wiring harness, to get it ready to be towed behind the motorhome.
The instructions called for removing the passenger side fender liners, front and rear. I did neither. The wiring up front can be fed to the bumper without removing the liner, and I used fish...
