  1. Just got home from Bronco event...

I completely agree on the Scout comparison. Bronco looks like identical twin to me on exterior except for the Bronco grill and LED headlights. For what it is worth, I am a fan of the Scout's appearance and also like the way that the Bronco exterior looks.
  2. That 6MT transmission: I really like it!

Thanks @OldGuyNewJeep. Appreciate the correction. I still stand by the "feels good" part. Excluding my wife's vehicles which I guess I technically co-own, I only own and drive manual vehicles for my own personal use. The clutch in my '21 JL is great. Less tractor-like than my old TJ but more...
  3. That 6MT transmission: I really like it!

I have a 2021 6-sp Rubicon and the clutch feels really good to me. I believe that FCA made some changes to the clutch between 2019 and 2021 (not talking about the software update). Someone can set me straight if this is not the case.
  4. FCA Rebates going away on the 17th of May???

Buyers of Rubicons need not worry! FCA Rebates never really applied to these models.
  5. Condition when picked up (brand new) at the dealer?

Seems like the reality of the situation is that there is a very low availability of 392s out there and it is frequently the case that dealers who have the fortune of having one in stock are able to add $1,000s over MSRP to the sale price and still sell them. Sure, a buyer can walk away because...
  6. Big price increases??

Assuming prices only increase or stay flat, why would a dealer NOT check this box. Does it cost them to check it (i.e. some sort of price insurance premium)? A customer service oriented dealer can check it and then stick with their agreed upon price if non-contractual. A dealer who entered...
  7. Condition when picked up (brand new) at the dealer?

Do you think that all of this could be a combination of extra testing, long times sitting in some wintery Ohio lot prior to delivery and maybe, just maybe, dealers taking these our on joy rides to "test them out" before they sell?
  8. Condition when picked up (brand new) at the dealer?

Mine looked like it was in new condition. All plastic wrap, including the protective film on the UConnect touch screen was removed from interior. The gas tank was full and there were 6 miles on the odometer.
  9. Retro Theme JL's- Let's see them

This is already shaping up to be a great thread! Would love to see more of these. :like:
  10. Big price increases??

If your purchase contract is unsigned then it is not valid and the price can be increased per the bold print on the bottom. I see no signatures. /s/ Seriously though. The questions of raising prices post order is generally one of contractual arrangement between buyer and dealer. If the dealer...
  11. JL Wrangler vs New Ford Bronco

I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up that the only Broncos that Ford delivered this year were the First Edition ones (along with all the pre-production concept vehicles that they have given to various social media influencers to hype up the vehicle). Bummer, was really hoping to see some on...
  12. Big price increases??

Happened to me, albeit with Rubicon and 'only' a $500 increase. My dealer was really great and stuck with original agreed upon price. Someone who works in the biz can set me straight but my understanding is that Jeep/FCA/Stellantis bills the dealer at time of shipping and the pricing at that...
  13. Issue installing Mopar Performance Rock Rails

Thank you. I am looking forward to see if I ever get these and how they will fit if I do... Wish I had found this thread before ordering. I thought I was getting a deal and now not so sure that is what I will end up with!
  14. Issue installing Mopar Performance Rock Rails

Has anybody had good experience with BAM on these Rails? I ordered these same Rails from them last week, appears that they may be lost in delivery by UPS (status TBD and waiting for response from BAM). Hope I am not going to get end up with a headache.
  15. JL Wrangler vs New Ford Bronco

If you ask me, it looks like pre-production Broncos copy design primarily from the International Scout. Despite 40 years difference the vehicles have identical body lines. I have always been a fan of IH Scouts.
  16. JL Wrangler vs New Ford Bronco

That is cool! Hope I am not coming across as a Bronco skeptic; I am actually excited to see one once it is in the hands of the public. So far though the Bronco release has just been, in my opinion, an overly drawn out and excessively choreographed affair. The delays, to be fair, don't seem to...
  17. JL Wrangler vs New Ford Bronco

Wonder if these Broncos were even able to move under their own power. For a while Ford was sending out shell vehicles without working engines.
  18. JL Wrangler vs New Ford Bronco

Thus far all the Bronco represents is a concept vehicle with marketing hype. I am optimistic that the vehicle, when they actually build one for and deliver one to the public, will be good. The empty marketing is getting old at this point. Maybe just me.
  19. AEV JLU Wrangler Build [SEMA 2019]

Thank you! Glad I didn't buy it based on hope only then to learn it didn't work .
  20. Big price increases??

Then of course there is the printing of the money by the Federal Reserve Bank combined with Congress sending thousands of dollars to people to spend on whatever. Without judging whether these things are good/bad/necessary/excessive, it objectively injects a lot of short term demand into the...
