  1. Has anyone gotten their accessories stolen, when mounted OUTSIDE the Jeep?

One good old trick can fix that easily, Spot weld the bolts once they're set. Stolen lights is not something new, used to happen in the 70's-80's and that was the solution for most at the time.
  2. Best way to carry extra gas?

That is 12 Gallons of liquid weight added to the tailgate. Considering the average weight of 6 lbs per gallon for common gas, that means that this 12 gallon would add up 72 lbs of weight to the tailgate...thats a lof of added weight especially if you put it up high like in their photo and thats...

  5. 1.25 body lift

I second the Rubi fenders, you will gain a lot more flexing space and room for bigger tires with the Rubi fenders and they're like 500-600 USD for the set. Body lift can be an option but dealing with broken bolts can be a nasty pain and turn a one or two day project into a 4+ days project. Keep...
  6. Dilemma: my dealer just made me a very interesting offer...

Canadian tire advertises it at 19.99 for 9.5L just to give you an idea but the price is not the only issue the problem also lies in the fact you almost have to carry one around (it may be more available everywhere now though) because if the jeep engine is similar to the RAM cummins I had, if you...
  7. Dilemma: my dealer just made me a very interesting offer...

Diesel are worth purchasing if you put a lot of miles on vehicles, a lease is completely conter-intuitive to a diesel truck because your gonna put millage on something you actually don't want top put miles on because it crank your price because of the millage fees/ end of lease purchase interest...
  8. New hookless winch rope!? Thought?

Anyone that knows knot making doesn't need any hooks on anything, just a rope and can bypass any hook system. Its not really something new its been there for ages on classic grand ships etc. If the winch has a rope end, you can attach it to anything with a perfection (angler's) loop (or bowline...
  9. Are there any options/specs that you regret getting OR not getting?

Rubicon....cause now I have to find a way to save money for a low crawl T-case ratio...Steel bumper for winch etc..etc. and lockers...but not considering modelwise, then see below. Otherwise, I have everything I want and it came more for me to something I did NOT want. I did NOT want the bumper...
  10. Yes this happened in NY today

Ya I've seen those, and its normal, anywhere where is too much money where they don't know what to do with it, these will happen, its not only jeep, it happens for all cars they drive, thats just a very specific clientele who just takes something and makes it out to something unique to stand out...
  11. Yes this happened in NY today

Nothing suprises me anymore in this world...years ago...one guy from the local club had his wrangler built with a hydraulic show suspension with those whitewall and chrome wire spoked wheels...so in comparison, this above aint' bad...
  12. need suggestions (economical)

In order to assess better, we'd need your amp model cause if it comes in mono or 4 outs or 5 outs makes all the difference in how to set-up, from what your saying it sounds like your amps is pushing all your speakers so we'd need to know how you hooked it up, pictures would be great. I'll add...
  13. Does going from 3.73 to 4.88 gears in Rubicon D44's require.....

Gas pedal...cause in the old days it was narrow and long while the brake is wide and fat in comparison.
  14. Besides a snorkel, what mods are needed for a Jeep to go this deep?

The landcruiser sounds like its a diesel. Most people use a diesel to run deep under water because compression itself if the engine is already running, will keep the engine running as long as there is fuel thrown into the chamber and because of this, diesels are a lot more reliable underwater...
  15. 2021 Half Door Pricing

  16. Oil filter after 91k miles

3.6L also came in other vehicles, this could easily be a commercial Ram Promaster they serviced where I would be less surprised to see something like this...;)
  17. North Carolina Brand New Mopar twill soft top kit p\n 8221 5146

Your saying JK in your text (assuming typo) cause the photo and part number are for a JL, glws!
  18. Factory Half Door Installation Video For JL / JLU / JT

interessting, I did not know the upper part was half soft half ridgid with a lot of plastic etc. For some reason I had the image of the old CJ soft doors "metal frame" in mind but I guess with the plastic in everything now it makes sense but it seems a bit more bulky for storage in the back though.
  19. Wheel Balancing. Weights vs Beads

I had beads in the past and if I go for bigger tires I will probably go for beads again. Beads have to be specialy made for this and not just some bearings you throw in it otherwise they don't work well and are too big and don't equalise the weight properly. The beads made for this are super...
