  1. Guide me here... I'm a life-long manual transmission driver & I am considering making the change to automatic only because I want the diesel! Crazy?

This is a very personal decision and everyone will have an opinion based on their experiences. I'm 48 years old and I've always driven manual. It's the only thing preventing me from getting the 392. I had a 6.4L Ford Raptor and sold it because I missed driving stick. As much fun as the Raptor...
  2. Lift Issue - Not Sitting Level

Did you swap out the control arms for stock? I'd put the stock arms back on and re-measure the adjustable arms. My guess is they are not even and your driver side axle is sitting further forward than your passenger side. Maybe you measured incorrectly, from center to center. Sometimes you...
  3. Lift Issue - Not Sitting Level

Did you measure the coils before putting them on to be sure they shipped the correct springs? Manufacturers make mistakes and they may have shipped you one 2" coil and one 4" coil. I'd take them both off, set them on the ground and measure. Once you take them off, I'd start from scratch...
  4. Synergy Jeep JL / JLU / JT Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace

Just installed my Synergy sector shaft brace today. Very straightforward. Took about an hour total install time. My kit came with four new long bolts to replace the existing steering box bolts, but they seemed too short. The stock bolts were longer so I reused those same ones and torqued to...
  5. LED Aux Light Integrated Front Skid Plate Concept

This is so bad ass. I guess it bolts on to the lower cross member, so it would be compatible with most after-market bumpers that don't have a built-in skid plate.
  6. Early buyers - Is your JL 3 years old yet?

2018 Unlimited Rubicon with 6-speed. Built to order in Feb 2018. Took delivery April 2018. 45k miles. Never been to the dealer for anything. Runs great.
  7. 6 vs 8 speed ratios

Based on the way you framed the question, it seems to me that you might be confusing differential gear ratios, transfer case gear ratios and transmission gear ratios. Transmission ratios are different between the manual and automatic, but do not vary based on the trim level of the Jeep...
  8. Am I Crazy to want to keep Stock Wheels?

I think what you mean is that most 35" tires are 12.5" wide and some tire shops won't install a 12.5" wide tire on stock wheels that are 7.5" wide since tire manufacturers specify a minimum wheel width of 8.0" or 8.5" for a 12.5" wide tire. That being said, there's nothing wrong with installing...
  9. LED Aux Light Integrated Front Skid Plate Concept

That's awesome. The problem with yellow/amber is the reduction in perceived light output. I have found that you sometimes need 15W of yellow LED to achieve the same perceived light output as 10W of white LED. However, with a bank of 7 LEDs, you should be able to get some good light output, even...
  10. LED Aux Light Integrated Front Skid Plate Concept

Actually, yellow would be the accurate color for better visibility in fog and snow conditions. Yellow LEDs would be awesome there. I'll be following this closely. I'm a huge fan of Oracle and was an early adopter for the reverse lights in the bumper.
  11. Am I Crazy to want to keep Stock Wheels?

I went the narrow route and got 35x11.50 for my stock Rubicon wheels. Couldn't be happier. The width is perfect, it drives great and has less road noise. No wheel spacers but I installed Traxda 1.5" front coil spacers and 1" rear coil spacers to keep the wheel well space closer to stock.
  12. Terrific Aftermarket Fob I came across

Received my 3-button Model M today. Great size, weight, and overall feel, but not too crazy about the tactile feel of the buttons. The middle button can be triggered with light pressure on either side of the center of the fob, as if there were two buttons in the center. Seems as though they used...

  14. Terrific Aftermarket Fob I came across

Just bought the 3-button M model in the smooth white tire tread design. $50+ hurt a little for a piece of plastic, but I’ve spent more on less.
  15. Terrific Aftermarket Fob I came across

The same can be said of countless accessories that I’m sure you have in and on your Jeep. ;)

Bump... I keep checking the website, but nothing new yet...
  17. Lift Question

No. I didn't upgrade and since I stayed with the stock wheels and the width of my tires are 11.5", I didn't have to make any modifications. Depending on the width of your tire and the backspacing on any new wheels, you may need to adjust the rubber bumpers on the tailgate to make better contact...
  18. Lift Question

The reason I went with Traxda is because they were able to customize their lift height for the JLUR. Most leveling kits or small spacer lifts gave you 2" in the front and 1" or 1.5" in the rear. I thought that was too much, so Traxda made a 1.5" front and 1" rear specifically for the JLUR...
  19. Lift Question

I would stay away from body lifts. You want a suspension lift, not a body lift.
