  1. Thoughts from someone who traded in a JLU after 7 months of ownership

Let me start by saying that this post in no way is a "judgement" on the JLU or this community as a whole. I completely understand the positive aspects of this vehicle, why people continue to love them, and how amazing this community is. This is simply a reflection of my experience as a...

  4. Hitch adapter to tow yard equipment?

So I just ordered a chipper that has an option to be able to be towed with something like a small yard tractor. You can see it at: https://www.drpower.com/Power-Equipment/Chippers/Chipper-Shredders-/DR-Chipper-Shredder/p/CS33040BMN Here's the available towing equipment for the unit...
  5. Wow... these things can even go ON water...

...IF you have a ferry like we do here in Seattle . My Moab and I are currently making our first Puget Sound crossing together on this perfect "Seattle weather" day.

  7. Does the side of the JL dash come off?

Is this an access panel that comes off? If so, how do I remove it? I'm trying to track down something that's rolling around back there.
  8. "Screw" rolling around somewhere around the glove box...

The screw sounds like it's somewhere in the vicinity of the star connectors that sit right behind the base of the glove box. I'd like to pull those off... but the bolts don't seem to budge. Do I just need to keep cranking to break them loose or is there a trick to removing them?
  9. "Screw" rolling around somewhere around the glove box...

I realize this is a long shot... but here goes. I picked up my Moab yesterday and it's GREAT. The only complaint I have is that it sounds like I've got a screw (or something) rolling around somewhere in the vicinity of the glove box. I popped the glove box out but can't find anything. Any...

  13. Picking up a Moab tomorrow... how's my price?

If everything goes according to plan I'll be picking up a loaded 2019 Bikini Moab tomorrow. The sticker is just over $56K; using my FCA employee discount and an additional $1,300 off they're giving me I'm at $50K + TTL. How am I doing at that price? It seems to me like others have done...

I think that all the Moab dark accents (rather than red accents) make Bikini really pop.
  15. Any regrets getting a Bikini colored Wrangler?

It looks like I'm picking up a Bikini colored Wrangler on Saturday. The color is CRAZY... I just can't decide if it's crazy cool or crazy "out there". Those of you that have lived with a Bikini Wrangler... any second guesses or regrets? Would you buy the same color if given a second chance...

  18. Am I crazy trading in a Challenger Scat Pack for a Wrangler?

I'll be getting a Sahara type setup with the auto 4WD and limited slip diff so that should help me quite a bit.
  19. Am I crazy trading in a Challenger Scat Pack for a Wrangler?

I drove a Mustang like that in Wisconsin for years with no problems. Snow isn't the problem out here... it's crazy hills and slick roads.
  20. Am I crazy trading in a Challenger Scat Pack for a Wrangler?

To make a long story short I was between getting a Wrangler and Challenger early this year. I ultimately went with the Challenger. My wife and I unexpectedly switched jobs recently and now we find ourselves living in the VERY hilly / damp / slick Pacific Northwest. In a nutshell, my...
