  1. New Rubicon yesterday. Hardtop freedom panels look unfinished inside,

Had the same problem with my soft top. Feels very mushy from the inside.
  2. Wrangler 4XE Drive Modes Analysis

Thanks for the write-up, Chris. Would be interesting to see the actual impact of e-save and charging mode on MPG. I'm guessing the theoretical drop could be calculated if we knew the power draw from the motor in generator mode. Any FCA powertrain engineers on here? I'm driving cross-country...
  3. Guide me here... I'm a life-long manual transmission driver & I am considering making the change to automatic only because I want the diesel! Crazy?

I'm a life long 2-door driver, but FCA forced me into a 4-door to get a decent engine. Gotta change with the times.
  4. What are these?

If it's leaking oil, it has oil.
  5. Questions: JLUR w/ mopar lift and 35/37 tires

Are those stock wheels with 37s?
  6. What are these?

Pull the plugs and run for a few days when it's dry outside. May just be nasty water draining out. Put the plugs back in and see if something still leeches out.
  7. 4xe issues

Yep, but I didn't want to run 35s for a few years after pulling the 33s off. My neighbor wants the 33s for his Gladiator. My cheapness prevents me from also taking a loss selling the 35s slightly used.
  8. 4xe issues

What if I just say "f-it" and put the Dynatrac diesel kit on it? Might just feel like I'm hauling around a few hundred pounds of mulch in the back. Or is there a concern about clearing for the shocks? I might have to borrow a club member's diesel and crawl under both. Planning a Moab trip and...
  9. 4xe issues

Here's another 4xe issue: no Mopar lift yet! I guess concurrent engineering isn't a strong point at FCA.
  10. 4xe issues

The torque converter is also replaced by a motor so doubtful it would move without battery unless there's a clutch that locks up when the battery dies.
  11. No Mopar Lift for 4xe yet!

Went to my dealership today for the TRX launch (OK, I went for the free BBQ, but the video was fun to watch). While I was there I asked about the Mooar lift for the 4xe and was told that there is NOT one yet! I'm going to Moab and several other wheeling areas this Summer and would like a 2" lift...
  12. Driving the 4xe, thoughts, info and more!

I just found out today that the Tesla charging station can be programmed to ONLY charge Teslas so the adapter might not be useful with public charging stations.
  13. Driving the 4xe, thoughts, info and more!

This one was hard-wired from the back.
  14. Test Fitting 35's, 37's, and 40's on the 392 Wrangler

OK, now have an even longer day trying different lifts to see which one doesn't let the 40s rub offroad.
  15. Test Fitting 35's, 37's, and 40's on the 392 Wrangler

    Definitely better than the alternative.
  16. 4xe issues

If you wait to buy a Jeep until there's no problems with a Jeep, you'll never buy a Jeep.😁
  17. Oh sh*t handle (near glove compartment).

The older CJ isn't shown either. It's gotten to be where you can't even find good memes to steal anymore.
  18. 4xe 0-60 in 6 seconds? YES!!!

    Now do a burn-out video. 🙂
  19. 4xe 0-60 in 6 seconds? YES!!!

That's important too, obviously, but not more important. You don't need a battery if the motor is burned up. 😁
  20. 53.6 MPG in a Wrangler 4XE?!?!

Yep. Driving style makes a huge difference in any type of vehicle. Having driven a 38' RV for many years and discovering how most idiots drive, I have the habit of looking well ahead when driving anything. Cracks me up when folks go whizzing around me in my TJ omly to slam on their brakes at a...
