  1. Good/Best Dash Cam?

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked the parts, and it is a different hardwire cable between the 900S and the 900X. That just adds some more fun into the process!
  2. Good/Best Dash Cam?

My Blackvue 900s just failed. Voltage coming off the wire is fine. After having it for about a year. This seems to be an issue wth 900s. For expediency, I ordered a new 900x. I don't like supporting companies that have crappy support, but I can't find a camera with better image quality out there.
  3. The future of the Wrangler Jeep

the door handles do retract for aerodynamics.. but they are also prone to breaking, and cost upwards of $2800 to replace.. I think the price has gone down a little though. The Model 3 has a purely mechanical door handle, that also serves the purpose of staying out of the airflow. This is an...
  4. The future of the Wrangler Jeep

As a Tesla Model S owner, and a Jeep Wranger owner... - Batteries - the cost is going down. By the time I need to replace the batteries in the Tesla, the cost will be off set with the maintenance costs I have saved over the years. - Software is the big issue. FCA absolutely sucks when it comes...
  5. Regearing a manual transmission Sport S to 4.56

I did not have to swap out the axle in the front. My local MULE shop did all of the work. I believe they just changed out the gears.
  6. Raidions of Monroe Washington don’t buy there at any cost

Rairdon's Kirkland runs exactly the way that Greg Rairdon wants it to be run. All of his dealerships run exactly as he wants them to run. Always assume a company runs and acts exactly the way its leadership wants it to run.
  7. Alpine X409-WRA-JL

Mine is still working just fine.
  8. MOPAR LED FACTORY UPGRADE KIT

I would have the dealer look at it. Did they install your LED headlights? The LED headlight kit from Mopar has wiring, as the harness requires modification. I don't know about the 2020, but Jeep seems to do a custom wiring harness for the specific Jeep wiring config from the factory. From what...
  9. MOPAR LED FACTORY UPGRADE KIT

This is a known problem, well documented on the forums. The dealer cannot and will not fix this for your. Using a device such as a Tazer JL lets you set the turn indicators to LED, and you are good to go. Someone on the forums did some digging, and there is a difference in the wiring harness...
  10. Stay away from Rairdon's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Kirkland

WOW! I didn't realize you were a local. This is the dealer where I purchased mine. I now take mine elsewhere, even for oil changes! Yep, they are free at the dealer.. I think it is cheaper to pay someone else to do it, as I don't know the extent Rairdon is capable of screwing up. @AgentWolf...
  11. Dealership replaced steering box with the old part under 08-074-20

You guys are completely losing me at the part where I am supposed to check the dealers work. I take it to the dealer because the work is supposedly a higher level of quality. It says that right there on the signs. That is why I am paying a premium. If I have to check their work, then why am I...
  12. Halogen to LED DRL - Do I need a dealer code?

As has been pointed out, the wiring harness between vehicles with factory turn signal LEDs is different than the one for Halogens. The dealer probably isn't aware of this, but regardless, they won't/can't do anything about it. You will need a third party device like a Tazer JL to make it work.
  13. Halogen to LED DRL - Do I need a dealer code?

The problem is, that statement was not in the Mopar catalog at my dealer, and the dealer was not informed of this issue. The Mopar parts catalog clearly stated that the parts in the catalog were tested to work on my Jeep product. FCA also did not state this when my dealer made an inquiry as to...
  14. Halogen to LED DRL - Do I need a dealer code?

I remember your posts now. It would be nice of FCA would just fess up and tell us that the wiring harnesses are different, and document in their catalog that the LED fender kits are not supported on vehicles that did not ship with LED fenders. Lastly, make the rest of us whole that bought...
  15. Halogen to LED DRL - Do I need a dealer code?

I ran into the exact same problem. I purchased the OEM LED headlight kit from the dealer, had the dealer install it. The kit came with complete wiring modifications and codes. Took a few times because the dealer didn't read the directions, but the kit worked. As for the fenders. I have a Sport...
  16. Halogen to LED DRL - Do I need a dealer code?

You will need to apply a code, and your dealer will probably can't give it to you, as FCA did not give the code to Mopar, which is beyond dumb; but that is a different conversation. I used a Tazer JL to get my system set correctly. I don't know anything about the Jscan, but it may have the same...
  17. Really great Bronco features you'd like in the Wrangler

My experience, FCA won't stand behind Mopar accessories that I purchased at the dealer, and had installed by the dealer. They do not work by design, yet, the catalog claims they do. Jeep cares was no help either.
  18. Any way to update the 8.4" UConnect if you upgraded it yourself?

Yes, you are better off purchasing a unit from a third party that supports the unit that they sell. There is ZERO logic to why FCA makes this so difficult. If you have a non factory install of the 8.4", maintaining it will always be a hack. It is critical to update software systems, and keep...
  19. Did Infotainment 7.0 to 8.4 Upgrade, worth it!

My dealer refused to do any updates to the unit. I installed the Alpine X409. Works great. This whole experience has soured me on FCA. I like my Jeep. I dread interactions with the dealer or FCA. This should be a really easy thing for Jeep to support. The install is brain dead simple. The...
  20. MOPAR LED FACTORY UPGRADE KIT

Thank you for this information! I still don't buy in to the idea that if Tazer can make it work, FCA should be able to make it work. I also don't understand why the OEM LED headlight kit seems to be ok with modifying the wiring harness, yet, the fender kit isn't. We already have an existence...
