  1. Brighter Headlight Bulb Recommendations?

Seriously, just save the coin and replace with Mopar LED. World of difference. Assuming you have the base halogen crap.
  2. Why not have 2 sets wheels/tires? Daily drivers and off-road?

Each their own. Too much for my lazy ass. Just run a set a Nitto Ridge Grapplers and call it a day.
  3. 5.13 gears 35 inch tires and 8 speed auto

4.56 or 4.88 would be good for 35s. 4.88 will cover you if you go 37s in the future. People who say no need to regear don't know what they talking about. It's not chump change to regear and you get nothing cosmetic, only performance. Perhaps you also call a couple offroad shops including the...
  4. Installed Shrockworks Rock Sliders on my JLURD

How about some pics from underneath showing how they are mounted, etc
  5. What will be the new 2022 “options” included to get us to upgrade

Just watched an EJS video and saw that sweet dark blue on a Gladiator. They said it was one off but if that was offered it would be worthy enough for me to trade. They also had the interior of roof painted black instead of white. That would be pretty nice. And the moon roof instead of...
  6. 3.6 l Engine Oil Type

Yes, each their own. Maintenance manuals from the companies that provide the warranty (in my case Jeep and Honda) both state to follow the computer. Computers that are running calculations based on actual data and not arbitrary lines drawn in the sand. But yeah, dealerships and the oil...
  7. Anybody tried the Apex Steering Boost Kit?

Bueller ? Who’s gonna give it a go?
  8. Air intake advice / feedback?

Stock is best, and change that filter regularly so the engine always has the cleanest air possible with least restriction based on design. Or save your money and score a good deal on a used 392 later this year or next. They say those will have plenty of power.
  9. 3.6 l Engine Oil Type

I buy my Mopar oil filter from the same dealership each time. No doubt about tracking it if Jeep wanted to. 0w20 Penzoil Platinum. Oil cap on engine says 0w20. Penzoil bottle says it meets Chrysler standard. But get this, I have no idea how often I change because I only change it when the...
  10. 3.6 engine and 87 octane a no-no

On my 4th Wrangler with a Pentastar 3.6 and all have performed well on 87 octane for me.
  11. Does Rubicon even use 8th gear??

Every time I drive it. Around town doing 40-50, on the hwy and in 4lo between obstacles. I’m regeared, 5.13, and on 37s with the 3.6.
  12. Baja Designs lights vs. KC lights. Which set up will be best?

Wow OP, you scared of the dark!?;):) just messing with you. Each their own. Over the years Ive run KC, Rigid and Baja Designs. I think BD are best. Great colour, great performance, and great quality.
  13. Headlight high-beam splice point

This is a useful thread! Yes, the white/Gray runs down the passenger side. Wasn't too difficult to find and get to. Here are a couple pictures. I was successful in using a posi-tap. Those are nice and another good suggestion from this thread.
  14. Teraflex Track Bars, Who’s had no issue on your JL?

Half of my lift, including Alpine control arms, are working great for me. Some people love to hate on Teraflex but you don’t successfully build Jeep parts for over 20 years by making crap quality.
  15. 2.0 on 37's with 4:10 gears in a JLUR

Keep telling yourself that buddy. smh
  16. First Preview of Easter Jeep Safari Concepts, Including Magneto Wrangler EV Concept

Fuel cell is the direction we need to take for electric. Batteries will always have a place but on the go green electric power creation is where it’s at. Apartment dwellers don’t need to plug in. Drive across country no big deal. Existing infrastructure can be fitted (yes I am simplifying it...
  17. High tuck exhaust for 2021 JLU Willys?

And have a much louder exhaust which if someone is buying the Touring version of Climber, isn't interested in to begin with. Good luck with your insurance.
  18. High tuck exhaust for 2021 JLU Willys?

I have the Borla Touring Climber on my '19 3.6/Auto and it is awesome. Yeah, sometimes bolt-on items aren't always easy peasy. Good luck OP.
  19. 285/ 70- R17 BFG KO2 or Nitto Ridge Grapplers?

I ran a set of 35" KO2 on a JK and currently have 37" Ridge Grapplers on my JL. I'd buy either again as they are both top shelf AT/HT. The RGs are little more aggressive, are holding up better in the rocks and have a very slight hum vs the KO2 had more rock chunking and I couldn't even hear...
  20. Starting from Scratch

I still think you should be the guinea pig and try the Teraflex raised bracket. That will obviously change the track bar angle back closer to stock angle. https://teraflex.com/shop_items/jl-jlu-front-track-bar-axle-bracket-kit-2-5-3-5-lift
