  1. Easiest/cheapest way to go about 37"s?

3.45s and 33s (with the MT) was honestly awful.
  2. Easiest/cheapest way to go about 37"s?

There really is no easy or cheap way to do it. You are looking at a lift, gears, steering linkage, the tires themselves, potentially wheels if you are still stock wheels, potentially drive shafts as well. Steering linkage will survive till it doesn't and honestly same goes for axle shafts. I...
  3. Question for new 4XE owners, is this normal?

    "Tune into nature" BRRRRRRRRR
  4. Driver's side rear quarter panel of softtop flying off mid trip.

Mine almost blew all the way off, but I caught it before it came all the way out. The rubber/plastic C-channel that slides over the rail attached to the roof part was widened at one section from the dealer. It looks like at some point someone took the window off without sliding the C-channel off...
  5. Constantly asked why didn't I get a 4 door!!!! Anyone else?

Not even sure what this means, but good for you.
  6. Constantly asked why didn't I get a 4 door!!!! Anyone else?

Did that trail in a 2 door and I did not take that line, but the line where she was filming from.
  7. BF Goodrich K02 All Terrain Actual Tire Size Specs

The tazer only takes 96% of the input tire size to account for the rolling diameter for you.
  8. locking gun safe for my JLU

This is such a dense way to view things.
  9. Just saw my first Jeep 4xe

Check out Engineering Explained's video on this. This lets you see where the electricity in your state comes from. In the end, they are Eco-groovy, usually.
  10. question for the manual guys

When my Rubi was stock and now that I have 37s and 4.88 gears its the same, I am in 6th at like 50. Driving around at 45mph on normal streets I am in 5th. Never have any problems passing without downshifting but if I need to I do a quick 5th to 4th or 6th to 4th shift and its fine. When I had...
  11. Anyone watch the Lite Brite Jeep Youtube channel?

I don't understand the "I liked it when their Jeep wasn't as built" comments. I get enough of someone struggling up an obstacle when I go wheeling and I don't mind living vicariously through someone with a more built rig. The only things that really "help" are 40s, lots of flex, and good driving...
  12. Your favorite mod under $200

Mine is on the rear view mirror and somehow hasn't ever fallen down after wheeling all over the country. I don't have the sunshade any more, I actually kind of prefer not to have it, but the alien stays!
  13. Off-roading with a manual transmission?

Before I ever had my Jeep I wondered how people wheeled in a manual. "How could they possibly manage all three pedals at once???" When I bought my sport I realized it really wasn't too much of an issue, kind of like taking off on a steep hill. Let the clutch out a bit while still on the brakes...
  14. 2 Door Window Storage Technique

One each side and just fold the plastic corners in and things should fit. It puts what feels like a serious fold in the window, but upon taking it out and installing them back and sitting in the sun for 5 minutes it looks fresh again.
  15. Besides a snorkel, what mods are needed for a Jeep to go this deep?

You need to re-locate your axle breather tubes to the engine bay and higher than whatever water you plan to cross. You WILL blow your pinion seal out. You will still want to drain and re-fill your diffs as well.
  16. Does going from 3.73 to 4.88 gears in Rubicon D44's require.....

You will need a ring and pinion as well as a masterkit.
  17. Rock Light tire shadows are awesome

Would these shadows not make it harder to wheel at night?
  18. Question regarding gear swaps - Yukon 4.88 gears?

One of my good friends with a JK has 4.88 and 35s with anticipation for 37s and it is great. The difference between 4.56 and 4.88 at 70mph is 150rpm (with the 0.72 ratio of 6th for the JL and 35s).
  19. Question regarding gear swaps - Yukon 4.88 gears?

Definitely re-gear. Definitely do 4.88. You will be over geared with 35s and setup perfectly for 37s in the future. Yukon makes good stuff, I have Dana gears and Yukon master kits.
