  1. Gas smell

I never did get the problem figured out. I have since made the switch to the JT and it will do the same thing. Again dealer says it's normal. Basically they have no idea what's going on, so it's normal.
  2. Wyoming Jeepers

Thank you Jeepers for the responses. I will get looking at these options I appreciate it very much
  3. Wyoming Jeepers

Jeepers I'm looking for some suggestions. Every summer we do a 10 day camping, hiking, Jeep trip. I'm looking for suggestions on places to go. Normally we do Colorado but we want somewhere new. Looking for backcountry camping where there is the ability for a stock 4x4 to a mildly built Rubicon...
  4. Another stupid rear defrost question

Update... I talked to the dealer and was told that FCA requires they "try" and fix the connection, and if that fails they can take pictures and request a new window. By they way I forgot to mention, the first two times it was passenger side. This time it's driver's side.
  5. Another stupid rear defrost question

I very rarely use mine also, but I might as well fix it while it's still under warranty.
  6. Another stupid rear defrost question

Alright guys I know this has been EXTENSIVELY talked about, but here we go again. I have had my rear defrost break off now 3 times. The first time they replaced the glass, the second time they did the conductive solder thing. Now that it has broken for a third time what do you all see as the...
  7. B-Dawg towing wasp

For sure it would. The JL has a 350# tongue rating so with smart packing I'm sure I'll be fine. This is the set up I'm looking to achieve. https://www.1up-usa.com/product/60in-hitch-mounted-cargo-carrier/ Using the B-Bawg would save me several hundred dollars and give me more versatility...
  8. B-Dawg towing wasp

I’m specifically looking for one that has the 2” receiver on the backend. I want a cargo basket and then the ability to add a 1up-USA bike rack to it. So far I’ve only came across the 1up set up that will run you around $1100 by the time it’s all set up and the B-Dawg towing racks.
  9. B-Dawg towing wasp

Has anyone ever seen one of these in person or heard anything about them? http://www.bdawgcarriers.com/aluminum.php Seems like they would be a good solution to adding space on the backend while still allowing you to use a bike rack or tow.
  10. RTT with a Rhino Rack Backbone

    Thank you sir.
  11. RTT with a Rhino Rack Backbone

I've been call Rhino-rack for the last few days to get a bit more detail. Unfortunately they've been closed. Anyway, I've had my Tepui RTT for about three years now. It started off on the back of my truck then got moved to a trailer I built and now I'm looking to put it on the Rubi. Every time...
  12. RTT with Rhino Rack Backbone Vortex bars

I know a RTT will work on the Backbone Pioneer platform system, but I can’t see the reason behind spending the extra money. Is there a reason you guys are going with the Pioneer over just the two bars? In my mind by the time you mount your RTT up there you have almost completely cover the...

  14. Looking for trails near 52411

When 600 acres closed a decade ago I believe that was the last public land in the state of iowa that a person could wheel a non ATV/side by side. So now we are left with??????? I've been to MIOBI it's a great place. Only problem is you have to be a member or only wheel on 2 or 3 weekends they...
  15. Looking for trails near 52411

I'm sure this is supposed to be in the local sections but Iowa wheeling is non existent so I'm posting it here. I live in Eastern Iowa (52411) I'm looking for trails within a day trip distance. If anyone has some recommendations please let me know.
  16. 1up cargo carrier bike rack

Thanks for the response guys. A question I have for you guys are you all specifically talking about the bike rack only or are you talking about the cargo basket bike rack combo?
  17. To lift or not

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong here. I believe if you were to get some Rubicon take off fender flares and springs you would be achieving a 1” lift and then with the added fender flares that would allow you to fit 35’s. Maybe not as much lift as you are looking for, but you save money. Find...
  18. 1up cargo carrier bike rack

I'm looking into getting the 1up cargo carrier bike rack. Anyone on here have this set up? Do you like it, does it clear without an extension, pictures please. https://www.1up-usa.com/product/60in-hitch-mounted-cargo-carrier/
  19. Winch mounting plate

HEY thanks everyone for the response! Even though it is about 4 1/2 months after I posted the question. I ended up going with the Rugged Ridge mounting plate, X20 winch, Warn hoop and line keeper. No complaints so far used 5 times. Easy breezy install (big garage and lots of tools). Oh and I...
  20. Water under floor mats

So here's a crappy update. Got the Pumk'n back yesterday. The apparent reason for water in the back was due to "dirty" seals around the tailgate glass. The reason for standing water on the drivers side floor mat was from a missing plug in the drivers side fire wall. Now I'm a electrician not a...
