  1. Any Deer Hunters Out There?

Hey Everyone, I'm headed to northern Wisconsin this upcoming weekend in my 2018 hardtop JLUR. In the (extremely) off-chance that I actually get a deer I am hoping to gain some insight on the best way to transport the deer. Unfortunately my rig is still completely stock and I do not have a roof...

  3. Selecting & Installing Bumper/Winch/KC Lights

Hello Jeep Community, I am interested in purchasing and installing a few items on my 2018 JLU Rubicon. Currently, I am looking at a Barricade Adventure HD Front Bumper, Smittybilt X2O 10K winch, and a pair of KC HiLiTES (5-Inch Apollo Pro Halogen Lights). I do not have the tow package option...
  4. New to off-roading - Recovery straps

Greeting Jeep Community, I recently purchased a RhinoUSA 20’ (3” width) recovery strap for my Jeep. I do not yet have a steel front bumper or winch (drool) but at least want to have one recovery method available. I do not have the tow package but do have the standard rear recovery hook and the...
  5. Flat Tire Recommendations?

Thanks everyone. Ended up plugging the hole and driving on it for a day to make sure I wasn’t loosing pressure. All seems well and it is my dedicated spare until I get new tires in the future. Took a few plugs to seal up that nasty hole.
  6. Flat Tire Recommendations?

Got a nasty flat on the Rubi tonight. Big piece of metal lodged in there so pretty sure it can’t be plugged. 35k miles on these tires and I have done a 5 tire rotation (myself) every 6-10k miles. Should I get a single tire replacement, or am I at a point where I should replace all 5? Currently...
  7. What Tailgate Table do you run?

Installed mine yesterday and had this exact same rubbing problem in the upper right corner. Used a pry bar to slightly bend out the upper right frame. Sits perfect now.
  8. Dealer wants $660 to change differential fluid

This is my first Jeep and have been loving the process of learning to do a lot of the PM tasks myself. So far I have done every oil change and tire rotation myself. I am currently at just over 33,000 miles. Should I be swapping out the differential fluid in the near future? Also. are there other...
  9. Going from Stock Rubicon to Sport?

I agree. This is probably the way I would end up going. Thanks for the advice.
  10. Going from Stock Rubicon to Sport?

Thanks, and yes it would be a cash-motivated decision. Wondering if at the end of the day I could reasonably expect to get between $5,000-$6,000 in the swap. If there is a high probability of that being true, I may begin researching this more. Unfortunately I have not been able to take advantage...
  11. Going from Stock Rubicon to Sport?

Question for the community, I currently am driving a 2018 Stock Rubicon which I purchased off the dealer lot 8/31/2018. Options include the updated Alpine speakers and dual top group. No substantial after market parts have been added. In the last 14 months I have put 30,000 miles on it. Just...
  12. Venison and Mojitos don’t pair well

Thanks for the recommendation. Those look pretty slick. Would these LED fender flairs be plug and play compatible if I only have halogen today?
  13. Venison and Mojitos don’t pair well

Frickin’ deer jumped in front of my Rubicon this morning. Escaped with minimal damage. Worst of it is a cracked passenger front fender flair and missing turn signal cover. Appears the Mopar replacements come is full sets of 4 for $450+. Any suggestions for finding a cheaper replacement? Anyone...
  14. JL for a roadtrip??

This has been a sore subject in the family ever since I convinced the wife and 2 kids to take the 4-door Rubicon instead of the Sienna from Indiana to Florida (17 hours) back in February. Just a few hours in and all 3 were complaining about road and wind noise, bumpiness of the ride, and actual...
  15. Winch-Ready Front Bumper options?

Hello Jeep Community, I am just beginning my research into upgrading my stock plastic JLUR front bumper. Planning to get into off-roading more in 2020 and am thinking that a steel front bumper with a self-recovery winch would give me more confidence on the trails. Which JLUR front bumper...
  16. First Opportunity to Off-road

Today I finally got the opportunity to take my rig off-roading here in Indiana for the first time. Spent the day at Kessie’s Jeep Farm in South Whitley and got to wheel their 31 acres of trails. First was their “off-roading 101” course where the property owners reviewed safety, off-roading and...
  17. Deep Woods Offroading - Doors off or on?

This weekend I have my first opportunity to off-road my jeep. A local "Jeeps-only" park down the road is opening for the season and is also offering an "offroading 101" course that I will be attending. Seeing photos online it looks like a lot of the trails weave through a heavily forested area...
