  1. Are there any options/specs that you regret getting OR not getting?

My 2020 JLURD is my daily-driver. I added every option available in early 2020 (so essentially the only thing I am missing is the Front Facing Trail Cam). I can 100% attest to loving and using the ACC. It is awesome on long-drives and really comfortable in traffic. I recently did an Atlanta to...
  2. Guess Who I ran into today

I have been looking at getting a dash cam-- which one are you using?
  3. Poll: Did TSB 08-074-20 Fix Your Steering Issues?

My steering wheel was off as well! Thanks for sharing. I'll totally call my dealer once more.
  4. Poll: Did TSB 08-074-20 Fix Your Steering Issues?

I'm in the same boat-- I just had the fix installed yesterday and while the steering feels better, I have a 2020 EcoDiesel and I swear that FCA and the dealerships are like "huhhh?" on all things diesel. Hoping that it is not a safety issue in the future.
  5. Horn Issue

@sherif JKU I'm still rocking the dying goose but I'll definitely bring it back to the dealer at some point and see if they can fix. I bet it's that the horn is only working on one side. It builds character, right? Hah!
  6. Exceeding the hardtop weight limit

Oh no! I'm in Georgia too! So sorry to hear that your rig was on the receiving end of a tree from last night's storm. Hopefully everything goes well and insurance can get it fixed ASAP!
  7. Steering Box Flex-- Anyone else notice this on your Diesel Rubicon?

Thanks for the insight. I was tempted to discuss this new service bulletin with my original Dealer. Any thoughts? I would rather not have binding issues and it seems the diesel has its own steering box component parts.
  8. Things you have learned the Hard way about owning a Jeep.

A few things I have learned-- 1. Never let the door-stop "pop" all of the way back into the door after taking off to go door-less. It will take an aggressive amount of willpower to wrench that door-stop back out and you will lose a nail or rough a knuckle (which I tend to do every time I mess...
  9. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Wait, that is awesome! I am in the Alpharetta/Roswell area as well and my dealer was Palmer Dodge. Any idea if they are going to make a stink about lifted Jeeps/aftermarket work? My JLURD has a LOT of flex in the steering box so a swap to steel would be ideal. Thoughts or contacts with Palmer...
  10. Diesel Lift Kit?

You and me both... let me see if I can find the actual part # and send that your way.
  11. Steering Box Flex-- Anyone else notice this on your Diesel Rubicon?

Hey Y'all, I'm running bigger tires and a lift on my JLURD but have tried to be smart and safe in developing my build with respect to daily drive-ability. I had noticed some less than ideal steering and was surprised because I have a Metalcloack 2.5" True Dual (upgraded spring rating) w/ Fox...
  12. Diesel Lift Kit?

Talked to my group and they used a Metalcloak 2.5" Lift but called Metalcloak and received a higher rated spring with a different part number-- they are looking for the part number but it was not the usual 2.5" lift kit. Definitely call Metalcloak and let them know its a Diesel before ordering.
  13. Diesel Lift Kit?

Great question-- my group may have used different springs from the 3.6 because I was so concerned over the extra weight from the Diesel. I will be in the shop for a re-torque and some additional bells and whistles next week and will ask. I will reach back out when I have the answers.
  14. Diesel Lift Kit?

It's honestly been phenomenal. No complaints whatsoever. City/highway driving feels great and it handles well on the few off-road areas I have ventured into.
  15. Post Your 3.0 Pics

Not a trail/rock-crawling by any stretch of the imagination but dang does she looks good off of asphalt and in the country. :) Always have to look back at her.
  16. Legitimate question to diesel owners....

I defer to your own personal assessment for which trim level to go with, but, if you are attempting to hit the 6,000LB threshold as a business owner for tax purposes under Section 179, only the fully loaded 4-Door Rubicon trim w/ Diesel engine will get you to the GVW you need to qualify. Just...
  17. How often do ya’ll drive naked and what do you use for protection?

I can attest that @JTopsUSA works wonderfully. I have the Bikini Top under my freedom panels and other than it being slightly tricky to unlock two of the eight levers to get the freedom top off, the JTop is clutch. Link here.
  18. Confused newbie help

If the funds are available, spring for the top-notch stuff. I will likely never see much off-road adventure besides some gravel and jumping a curve now and again but my JLURD drives phenomenal on the highway at 80+ MPH. I will be the first to admit I did not need a high-end suspension kit, but...
  19. Cwu's Punk'n Diesel Build

Thanks for the follow-up. I'm all of 5'4" on a good day so I will have to see if I would end up using it. The upright seats make it to where my left leg can touch the ground so I'll have to do a roadtrip and see if I will need it. From everything I have read it is a TOTAL pain to get it...
  20. Cwu's Punk'n Diesel Build

Looks awesome! Love seeing another Diesel with mods. I'm about to go get a dead pedal after reading your comments.
