  1. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

And efficient. He wasted no time during the delivery process, but was still thorough and friendly.
  2. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

If you like straight deals, skip the financing and you still get 5% under invoice, no hassles. The GC is still my favorite vehicle. I'm on my third and I've had this one for 6 years ('14 Summit). I'll hit you up when I put the order in for my '22 Summit!
  3. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

I had a fantastic experience and got about 12% under MSRP (7% under invoice). No dealer in my area would come even close to this. Plus, I did everything over the phone or by email and didn't step one foot on the lot until pickup day. On pickup day, my car was detailed and waiting for me out...
  4. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

You do need to have someone who served in some branch of the military in your family though they did not validate what I told them about my dad being enlisted in the Marines (which he was).
  5. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

yes, I just refi’d two months in with NavyFed at 2.19%. Someone else here refi’d either just before or just after their first payment. No issues.
  6. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

My loan is simple interest, it’s not front-loaded like a mortgage. Look in the fine print of your agreement of sale where it stipulates you must wait 6 months to refi or you'll have to pay the 2% back. I searched my paperwork and could not find anything to that effect.
  7. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

Not yet. I haven’t gotten the first statement from Us Bank yet, but I plan to as soon as I get it.
  8. What are you paying on your 2021?

Wow, Courtesy wouldn’t work with me when I reached out - not even close. At a $500 difference I would have probably gone with them but I don’t have regrets despite that.
  9. First time buyer building 2021- Recommendations on dealer in Philly area

Add to the list of not serious about doing deals in the Philly area - - DiAmbrosio in Downingtown and Courtesy (same owner) - don't care to discount more than maybe $1k off MSRP - Country in Oxford, PA - Brandywine in Wilmington, DE (Prices Corner area) - Newark in Newark, DE @DJ Jay - Like...
  10. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

The ‘don’t refi for 6-months’ wasn’t stipulated anywhere, nor disclosed upfront. What was literally (and I mean literally) whispered by the finance manager with a wink as I signed the paperwork was “you can refi after six months, just don’t tell anyone I told you so”. It wasn’t even a, please...
  11. How can Criswell afford -8% off invoice

+1 for Leon. I just picked up my JLUR from Leon at Criswell this past Friday. Excellent transaction and Leon is hands-down the best sales rep I've ever dealt with in my life. He is extremely knowledgable about the vehicle and the entire order / purchase process and, as a former military man...
  12. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

Yes, I asked multiple times for a better rate or different lender and was stonewalled. I was told US Bank was the most competitive of any of the lenders they had relationships with (a lie), so I figured it wasn't worth continuing to waste my breath for a .5% difference in rate because it was...
  13. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

That's the thing - the Chrysler rate is probably cheapest of any rates they have available, so they don't use Chrysler. They use lenders who provide a kickback like US Bank, Chase, Wells, Capital One. I got US Bank, but I think someone else here on the forums got Chase recently. My rate was...
  14. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

4.49% - same rate for 48 or 60 months. Navyfed is running 2.19% on the same loan terms. My credit qualifies me for top-tier rates, so it's not a credit worthiness issue.
  15. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

A few things at play that ease any guilt I may have had of holding the loan until it seasons enough for Criswell to receive their kickback - 1/ they offered 8% off invoice until several months back and lowered it to 7% 2/ they raised their fee from ~$300 to $500 as of July 1 of this year 3/ I...
  16. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

I looked over my contract and didn't see anything. And the finance guy himself said that MD doesn't allow early payoff penalties, so we know nothing would come from the lenders. I'll likely move forward as soon as I receive the first statement / welcome from US Bank and will report back here...
  17. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

I read through my loan and sale docs carefully as soon as I got home, so figured I was in the clear, but wanted to be sure I hadn't missed something that someone else may have seen in the docs. Gentlemen's agreement... that's funny. I didn't push the subject during the signing process as I...
  18. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

It depends on the state bank regulation and the lender. I purchased my car in the state of Maryland which apparently does not allow lenders to levy an early payoff penalty, so my lender doesn't have one. That's why I was concerned about the dealer's ability to get their discount back (though I...
  19. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

The deal with Criswell is that you have to use their financing or you lose 2% of your discount off of invoice. Since there were no compelling enough offers from Chrysler Capital at this time on 2021s that would compete with that 2% discount, I went with their financing at 4.49% knowing that I'd...
  20. Bought at Criswell and used their financing - no pay-off penalty, but risk of losing 2% discount post-sale? How?

I didn't think so, but wanted to be sure there was no real precedent for it.
