i changed out the steering stabilizer from the OEM, just to see if it would change much, but i've yet to do anything besides put 35" tires and beadlocks on the jeep, suspension wise. i put a king stabilizer on, and it has the same resistance both directions...
i don't know if the fox unit is an...
found this thread looking for a frame mounted class 3 hitch.
this one is marked class 4... but upon calling roam, they summarized
that while they built a class 4 frame spanning hitch that also thinks
it's a bumper, legal reasons make it necessary to classify it with jeeps
classification for the...
no, not really.
i suppose i could put it all in one place.
i still haven't done axles, suspension, or supercharger.
those are probably gonna happen shortly
i've kinda made up my mind on a trailer to pull..
that at this point is gonna be a black series HQ-15.
supposedly a JL isn't big enough to...
i'm an electrical contractor, and do UPS systems, among other things. about the best thing
you will get for a vehicle in AGM is Oddesy. that is all i've used for 10 years.
this is the kit i used. it's excellent. it uses two group 25 batteries. no big/little BS. perfect fit. no wire splicing...
not necessarily. jeep does some pretty shitty stuff.
the failed fuel pump is an issue. i'm looking for a better aftermarket one.
i spent 4 days in cedar breaks utah waiting while jeep fucked around sending the
wrong fuel pump 3 times. the week in the utah and colorado backcountry was ruined...
yeah. i want a 2" torsion tube across the whole thing, with plates onto the main rails.
i'm planning on using a weight transfer hitch, and the twist on the. rear crossmember will
be pretty severe.
interestingly enough, i put a 2" ball on the back yesterday, and hooked up a box trailer with a...
yeah. a lot of cars have a key switch to disable the passenger airbag so that it doesn't hurt kids.
but jeep saved $4 by deleting this functionality.
i can unplug stuff, but it'll light up everything. the sensor is almost always mounted under the passenger seat.
i'm also looking at putting a...
no, that wasn't my first choice. airbags are gonna make a
difference. not so much with 4 point sparco harnesses, or
even with a 3 point shoulder and lap belt. with the shoulder
harness locked, reaching the dash with your face isn't a
there is an ipad mounted with a 67 mount...
how do you do it and escape setting codes?
i spoke with the guy who does the Z programmer, and he said it's possible, but he won't incorporate it in his widget, for liability reasons.... so how do i specifically disable the passenger side airbag?
thanks in advance
what i'm inclined to do, is stick a single laser spot right in the center, above the spare tire mount, with the light carefully aimed directly at the retinas of tailgating drivers. what i need, is the lidar that is used in adaptive cruise controls, so when you get in range, the closer you get...
if you drive across nevada in 112 temperature while pulling a patriot tent trailer, by the time you get to st. george utah, the heat will have caused the rear locker to set a permanent error saying "service lockers". you will be unable to use the lockers in utah, or repair the problem, short of...
sitting in utah for four days waiting for a JL fuel pump, while jeep sends JK pump after being furnished with vin. fuck FCA
ending vacation in utah back country.
getting home, and having service locker message come on, and jeep saying i will have to replace both dana 44's. but they don't have...
well, if you take a look at the baja designs mount, it's two bolts on each side.
one is a pivot, and one is to keep things from rotating around the pivot.
it appears you only have a single pivot bolt. no matter how much you tighten
something like that up, it'll move when you push it.
couple thoughts here.....
if you have a winch on the front of the jeep, you have a pretty good attachment point on
the end of the winch line, assuming you use something like a factor 55 rope end.
it also has the advantage of not needing the tow vehicle to actually do anything. as the
yeah, that is what i would expect.
however, i put 2,500 miles on it this week, and have learned some stuff.
i just tapped 20k miles right before i got home.
lotta folks say premium fuel is wasted on the JL.
i was getting 16.5 on the freeway at 75 mph on cruise control.... then....
i filled up...
