  1. Will the 4xe be unusable in hot weather?!

And now, back to our regularly scheduled program... Will the 4xe be unusable in hot weather?! :)
  2. Aftermarket Fender Flares for JL Wrangler?

If you don't mind the "massive" (IMO) "tilt" on the trailing side of the front flare then this is a great solution. But I'm OCD and I can't get past the "tilt"of the trailing edge of the front flare. The way it leans forward bothers me. Too much flare. (As I said, I'm OCD). Jeep tried to trick...
  3. Wrangler Rubicon 392 begin arriving at dealers, including mine

Ordering will open again, assuming it is now closed. (Link?) No auto manufacturer is going to spend big bucks to engineer a vehicle variant only to discontinue it with very few units sold. Can you say NRE? Be patient. and you will get what you want, with hopefully less forced options, (body...
  4. Picked Up My 392 Yesterday!

I'm going to take a chance and subscribe to this thread with the hope that we can stay on topic and discuss and drool over this awsome machine. :)
  5. California 4XE Ordering

I don't recall if I had the option to pay the taxes at the dealer. This was a new truck purchase in 2004. I bought a used truck in 2017 and didn't pay tax at the dealer either (both purchases in Texas). Both times I paid at DMV. Also, as I recall, at least in Texas, there were Texas fees I had...
  6. California 4XE Ordering

Not a big deal with DMV if you buy out of state. Just letting others know what is involved. It's not that difficult, but it is different than buying in state. By the way, bring your check book to DMV, in addition to license and registration, you'll be paying sales tax on the cost of the vehicle...
  7. California 4XE Ordering

I've bought a couple of new vehicles out of state (California). You do have to have the vehicle smog checked (even though it is new), and if it's truck, weighed. You will have to go to DMV where they look over the vehicle before you go inside to get your registration and tags. Not a big deal...
  8. End of first day with the Wrangler 4XE thoughts / feedback

No way you have to do anything special when you get in the Jeep and drive it. Get in the Jeep, hit the Start button, and go. It can't be any different than getting in and driving any other vehicle. Has to be a no-brainer for the general public. Having said that, Moar Jeeps' question peaks my...
  9. Hands on the Jeep Wrangler 4xe by TFL

Agree. I didn't mean to imply I would wait for level 3 (or that it's needed) on the 4Xe. :) I'm sitting back and watching to see if the 4Xe performs well. I'm not interested in it for the mileage, other than it being about equal to the V6. I want the HP and Torque with near V6 mileage! :devil...
  10. Hands on the Jeep Wrangler 4xe by TFL

Agree. When I can pull into a recharging station and "fill up" in 10 minutes (or equivalent time of a gas fill up), then I'm all in on an all electric vehicle. We're getting there. But Jeep needs to add level 3 charging, which I'm guessing is not too far away. Yes, most people won't need level 3...
  11. Jeep J6 - Any Update?

Can't help it... did I post this?
  12. Rubicon 4xe: any plans for lift and/or bigger tires?

Right... Federal Court... After market manufacturers lobbied for this, and made it happen. This is their life blood. OK, buy your Jeep. Keep it stock, and enjoy. I'll buy mine, mod it, and not look back. I have not had any issues with my Jeep. I've modifyied the hell out of it and haven't had...
  13. Rubicon 4xe: any plans for lift and/or bigger tires?

https://www.autocare.org/government-relations/current-issues/Magnuson-Moss-Warranty-Act From above " The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prohibits product manufacturers from conditioning consumer warranties on the use of any original equipment part or service. Furthermore, a manufacturer can only...
  14. Jeep J6 - Any Update?

Um no. This is not the same as a Wrangler 2 door vs.Wrangler 4 door. I will never buy the four door Gladiator (too long IMO), but i would absolutely buy a J6 2 door. No BS. Take my money. This is about proportions. This 2 door truck is dead on. 99.9% of the time I am a solo driver. I don't have...
