As @NewJLU2019 states above, Off-Road+ does different things to the throttle control, shift management, brake systems, and more based on 4H or 4L.
I can say the Off-Road+ button on the 2021 Rubicons does make a difference! I haven't understood why it would help until we were in high-speed...
Congrats on the new Wrangler! There are so many dealers, but it is rare to find a good one and one that is willing to make deals to move cars with minimal BS. Happy you took your time, found what you wanted, and saved some money!
RockHard 4x4 sliders? The paint finish looks like the skids I had on my last JK, including the corrosion around the edges.
As John says above, let us know what company. I've been very close to ordering a set of the RH4x4 sliders but have been hesitant with my previous coating experience.
Had a 5-year ceramic coat applied to my JLUR the week we picked it up. A lot of the time was the prep before the coating was applied.
My wife and I have both noticed a difference. When it gets muddy or sloppy, there is maybe half or less of the residue on the sides. Same in winter slush slop...
Oh man. I love my JLURD. When I have it. When I can drive it. It has been in the shop for 25% of my ownership (since end of September). Developed an oil leak at around 6k miles on the driver's side of the engine. This has been a semi-common issue with the Gen-3 reading through Jeep and Ram...
I have the Mopar tailgate reinforcement from the factory, and found the Teraflex tire relocation bracket had to be modified to fit with it. Was looking forward to the Teraflex Alpha adjustable tire carrier but when I installed it last November/December, they had no solution to the updated camera...
I like the idea and appreciate the goal. Way too easy to get overloaded with essential crap.
I worry about damage to the synthetic winch line, from a tree or perhaps metal edges of a tow point not designed for a soft shackle. Much easier and cheaper to replace a tree strap or soft shackle than...
I have already raised that with the Jeep rep, and was really hoping to avoid that, until the overheating issue. Legally we have met the state requirements as a nonconforming vehicle.
We have a permit and Dollhouse reservations for my & buddy's bdays that first week in June. It's been 10+ years...
We tried to drive the Jeep up to visit my sister this morning. Made it about 15-20 miles and the engine overheated and cut power. Horrible spot to do so; uphill just as the highway reduced from 2 lanes to 1 for road construction and along a bridge. Jeep dropped from 55 mph to less than 30 in...
ANOTHER FRESH OIL LEAK!!!
My wife was leaving for errands this afternoon and I noticed a small puddle of fresh oil, under the passenger side this time. Had her stop so I could look. There were drops on the bottom of the frame crossmember behind the radiator, on the low power steering hose...
Picked up our Jeep this morning. Electrical failure after oil leak repair and Jeep would not start. Sounds like most of the last week was spent chasing that failure. Replaced fuse case and then PCM. Engine cover was loose and at least one of the fasteners was missing when I opened the hood at...
Well, today marks 43 consecutive days without our Jeep; 30 business days. Jeep is now officially a "nonconforming motor vehicle" (lemon) under Utah law. No word from dealer since March 12, when they said they had the parts and were working on it. No word from @JeepCares since last Thursday...
We asked/told the dealer to make sure they didn't add any & confirmed the day before we picked it up. In the walk-around I noticed little sticky traces on the body above the license plate. At least they mostly removed it before we got there. That would've set my wife off. ;)
Let them know now! This seems to be all too common now. Hopefully you can get on the list for replacement parts, as I am now at 6 weeks and still waiting...
Dealer lots around here sound similar, with tons of JTs and not many JLs. One lot has mostly diesels, which surprised the hell out of me.
My dad just took delivery of his Mojave. Mostly washboard gravel roads, some moving boats around at the lake, random wood loads, etc. That many miles on...
We pretty much ticked all of the boxes when ordering our 2021 JLUR. The only thing I haven't found as useful as I though is the front trail camera. We wheel a lot, but I just haven't found it that helpful. My wife insisted on the Adaptive Cruise, which I would've skipped, but I do use it a lot...
Yes, common for the snow in December, and trail closures even if there isn't much snow. Most ski resorts try to open by or around Thanksgiving. Denver and the Front Range probably won't have snow though.
Any trails around the resort towns will be closed. About a 2-hour drive from Aspen, Vail...
Grand Junction has some trails that are generally open year round, and a quick shot over to Moab from there as well (Dolores Triangle backcountry route is much easier in the winter with low water in the Dolores River). Not too much further up I-70 than Glenwood Springs. Be ready to change the...
