Right, but all the underlying problems are still there. I also noticed they pulled the part number sticker off of my cast iron steering box. So, given the problems I had with the dealership getting the right part on the first two visits, I believe they installed a 4 door box on my 2 door.
I know this is an old post, but would you happen to have a link to the Borla XP? I can't find a borla xp anywhere. Only thing that comes up is the XS and some others I don't recognize.
That is my understanding. Take a look at the latest TSB (it has recently been linked to on this forum. I believe the last two numbers are 21). Adding the sales code (70F or whatever it is) is a separate step from flashing EHPS. I also believe that the sales code just tells FCA's inventory system...
Really? The heigh10 has all the same apps like the offroad app that show angles and you can adjust your air conditioning on the touch screen? If that's the case I'm gonna switch mine out. I had assumed all the vehicle specific controls would be gone after chaining the head unit. I can't even get...
Yes, this is exactly what is going on with mine (plus an even more pronounced pull to the right) since I got the new box installed.
It seems that the dealerships don't think the new software is necessary. My dealer actually got real pissy with me when I asked them to prove they had updated not...
The problem with this is that the options report will only show the sales code. It has nothing to do with the EPHS module software. So the only thing a person can tell from the options report is if they updated the sales code to 70F.
@JeepCares Darlene, what are you supposed to do when the dealer service advisor lies to your face and FCA about having completed the work 100%? FCA really needs to take control of this and make the dealers more accountable for their crappy workmanship.
I don't get how FCA can issue a TSB but leave it up to the dealers to decide how much of the work they do. There should be some kind of accountability. When I asked my dealer to prove that the software was actually updated things got less than civil. Hell, even @JeepCares doesn't want to deal...
Finally got mine done. Took three appointments. First two times they said they had the parts. Got there for the first appointment and no parts. They claim the appointment was for an evaluation. Second time they claimed they got the wrong part. Third time they actually replaced the parts but took...
@JeepCares I already have an open JeepCares case. I've been to the dealership twice in the past two weeks for prearranged appointments. First time they sent me home because they didn't have any of the parts in stock. Second time they sent me home because FCA/Mopar delivered them a...
It's five bolts actually: 1 for the pinch bolt on the spline (?) shaft. And four to attach the body of the box to the frame. And the software update is also required.
How do you make sure they updated the software? I do not have any confidence that my dealer will do it. And I'm not willing to just take their word for it.
