For out back travel that is pretty darn cool. It's a heavy price tag but cheap if you
go were running out of gas a lot is a possibility.
I have a trailer with 18g of gas is on board. If I didnt have that I'd be looking hard at it. Just wish you didnt lose ground clearence with it.
I cant believe someone hasnt come up with a larger replacement tub yet.
Thinking no one will offer a gas tank for liability issues in that spot but one could be fashioned in there privately. Get the dimensions right as well as mounting points and give it to a welder. Cut an ample hole for...
I dont know if it was stupid or not. But for sure if he was with someone wheeling with him it wouldnt have happened. But he was out with his girlfriend near paved roads bridges, cars, people, cell range, etc. That isnt typically what one refers to when saying "never wheel alone".
I agree...
Dunno. Thinking a ranger or even f150s heck all of em drive like cars. Suspension has gotten pretty good plus while most think ifs sucks for real wheeling they do drive car-like
Lucky! My wife is in the market for a car but thinks it's ugly. I do too on some of them, but the higher end ones look a tad better. I'm not real impressed with dial a trail technology of these new metro-sexual 4wd rigs, but I am interested in a 2.7 or 3.5 eco-boost. That has go to be fun!
Yeah, it looks like a nice fit to work as an attic. Waiting on some tie downs that I'm hoping will be a better solution than those crazy bungee's. THis weather has slowed down a lot of my purchases.
agree, but I think weight should always be considered. However there is good weight and bad. 1 tons are stupid heavy but provide some big protection against breaking along with lower center of gravity. The weight that comes with adding water sucks BUT the benefit is not the weight itself...
I disco'd by battery IBS and it ran at 14V's or more. I did get an light on the dash but once plugged back in it went away. Wondering that if in your situation or others that need a periodic big charging, disco-ing the IBS might work well enough??
THis isnt useful just for backing up for a trailer. In Moab where the traction is crazy good 2wd low is VERY useful there. Keeps things from binding up when you dont need 4wd but still want to be in low.
If this is figured out I'd be in for sure. It would save me from going Atlas.
quoting myself to add I now also hate the bungee cords. I ordered the Alien top for just the rear and started the install with a mishap on the second bungee. The thing slipped under tension, swung around and cracked my hard top. Not a happy camper and now need figure out how to repair it or...
They look higher quality for sure. I didnt see any rear only options?? I ended up with another product and I already forgot the name. lol It's the much loathed by JTop bungee cord type. ;)
Back to jtop, looks like it would be tuff to get your stuff out and in with their setup, yet your...
I need a spot to put raincoats, jackets, whatever that is out of the way and not taking up valuable space when not needed.
I was thinking of a cargo net of sorts but maybe a sunscreen would work too. It would have to have enough space on the edges to allow putting in the garment and taking...
I plan on traveling exclusively alone. I have a SPOT device for emergencys but sure dont want to use it.
I plan on using some of the same rules I use when dirt biking in the outback. Bring tools to fix stuff. I dont bring spare parts on a bike so likely not a jeep either. A battery of some...
Thanks for the test. Looking for a battery solution myself. The thing I dont like about jackery is the handle. They need to ditch it. When space is an issue (and it always is) they need a soft handle so that it is more likely to be stashed or stacked. The way it is now, nothing can be put...
pump installed still the same. Pretty horrible. They took off the ram and bliss. Guess this is normal for the steering assist from PSC. If so it's downright dangerous.
Without the ram PSC is pretty darn nice and an improvement over stock and my stock didnt have the steering issues some...
