you do not need to have any radio for the 101 class they will provide one.
As for going outside of the 101 class it will depend on who you go with. I bought Motorola walkie-talkies then the one guy I go with bought the same ones.

I wouldn’t really call nicking your skids driver error. That’s exactly what they are there for. You just can’t see and avoid every rock, and if you get more into wheeling and do harder trails it’s a sound you have to get comfortable with.
This is semantics.......the body sits to the right or the axle gets pushed to the left. The track bar swings on an arc so the more lift the more the offset whether it is considered the body or the axle.
