I put on the Rough Country. My steering was never what I would describe as "loose". It was more like power steering wasn't working correctly, so it took too much effort to turn the wheels, and then I would have to constantly correct the other direction. I also had really poor return to center...
Ronin also makes one, but it comes with thread lock compound already applied to the threads, and I didn't want it to be permanent in case I didn't like it.
I lost a little independent station that I like when I'm at my house (about 20 miles from the city), but can still pick it up when I'm downtown. Strong stations are no problem (in fact, most of them come through with no antenna installed at all).
So, I knew I could not replace the transmission knob because of the push button design, but I thought maybe I could put a custom knob on the transfer case shifter.
It comes apart in a similar way, but the screw is on the left side. From there, I'm stuck, because I can't get the knob separated...
I ended up liking the grille in Sting Gray, so I haven't attempted this. As long as you seal the tape down tight I would think it would be fine, but it may be difficult to get into that crevice. Previously I've used the edge of a credit card to seal the edge of the masking tape.
