It is the black one with the AA part number.
1. At TDC, feels light for about half an inch then you feel it get heavy, though watching the wheels, theymove the whole time.
2. When turning wheel slow, feels gritty, may not be the best word but it is not smooth. Like it's modulating or feeling...
Got what I can best describe as...
When going straight, merge or veer left and I feel a rotational harmi ic through the steering wheel that I dint feel when veering or merging to the right.
It feels like when a brake pad rubbing a shoe. Though I don't imagine the axle would shift in a manner...
Modified it with a 6 dollar grommet kit and 7 dollar bungees.
Overall this top simply fits like crap. It was better when it was all spiderball bungees and you could move them around on the roll bar of the JK to smooth it out.
Sorry I spent the money but it will do for a summer.
Perhaps the side windows were not in good though everything seemed tucked and clicked well enough.
The tongue along the body pushed out and came loose on the driver side cloth window allowing the c pillar to come loose and flap wildly against the body giving it dings like a minor hail storm...
So before I posted I read the article last may about a certain population of jeeps with fire concerns. The reason I searched it, in the past few weeks I've seen a few postings of folks losing their JLs recently to fires. The last one being a 3.6.
Just curious on what folks have seen
