Funny - that was a feature on the GTI we traded in - one of the first things my wife asked when she started driving the JLU was, "Is there a gear indicator like in the GTI?" - she'll actually be happy with this!

We went with the Willys (not Willys S). I don't see our personal need for lockers - rock crawling for us will be limited, if ever. I do appreciate the LSD, and it came as part of the Willys package. I've never driven the selec-trac, so can't compare, but the command-trac + LSD took care of all...

I think it's interesting they shot the vid with hardtop vehicles. I'd think these might be more of a soft-top accessory, but I also haven't reviewed the order guide to see if you can/can't get these with a hard-top only.

My "favorite" part of this is that dealers aren't getting notified until 3/19? So, we the public know about it, but are supposed to just let our clutches burn for a month? Ours was picked up at the dealer 1/8/21, so we've had exactly one month and under 1K on it. Bah.

Looking to buy OEM Roof Rack bars (despite the whistling) or a Thule gutter mount roof rack. Can pick up on the North Shore or souther NH. Thanks!

I was dumb. Saw an snazzberry islander with the white hard top today - and didn’t take pics. Bah. Honestly - it was kind of weird. Islander stickers don’t match, blue islander interior trim doesn’t match. Just not quite right.

Hydro was on my list, but didn't want to wait so we could get some use in this winter. I also really wanted the tan soft top, and wasn't sure how Hydro would go with it. You should be pumped!

Picked up Friday. Ordered. 11/17ish. Very excited. Esp for the summer swap to the tan top.

The GTI was a present to ourselves after Dieselgate. It was a great little car, but the kids are getting bigger, and the ski season lodge 'challenges' kind of meant we needed something bigger to use a as a better parking lot basecamp. ;)

Wow - this is about the same exact situation we're in. JLU Willys we ordered should be arriving in the next couple of weeks - '16 GTI is getting traded in. And we had a 2011 JKU Sport S before!

This is a great combo - we just ordered a JLU Willys with the tan top. Can't wait for it to come in.

Find a dealer that will work with you. Having the package codes handy can make you sound like you know your stuff. Discussing with a local sales manager now - they say snazz is available but I have doubts.
