  1. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

Much cheaper to just do an America's most wanted 6.4 swap on my current JLU...
  2. Intermittent power steering in cold temps at highway speed almost killed me and my wife

No, haven't had that tsb done since my Jeep steers perfectly if the temps are above 40 degrees. I don't want them swapping out the steering box and I end up one of those folks whose Jeep wanders all over the road.
  3. Intermittent power steering in cold temps at highway speed almost killed me and my wife

I've had the TSB done 3 times. Same result each time. Clearly in some cases it's not the vehicle configuration that is the issue. The annoying thing is that my JL otherwise is perfect, no sketchy steering otherwise. I can go hands off and my JL will retain the lane for at least a half mile...
  4. Intermittent power steering in cold temps at highway speed almost killed me and my wife

Last week I took my JLUR into the dealer service dept for it's 3rd time regarding the stiff then suddenly loose steering at highway speed when temps are under 45 degrees. They kept it most of the week. Despite my telling them that if they will drive it first thing in the morning, they can...
  5. 3.0 Diesel EGR tube plugged

The only reason we still have our 2014 Grand Cherokee ecodiesel is that we didn't want to take the hit that the class action lawsuit caused in value. We joined the mass tort lawsuit and are holding out for a VW style buyback.
  6. Tazer vs Flashcal vs other JL programmers

I don't even take mine out when I go to the dealer. My dealer actually has Tazers for sale. If you return the config and unmarry it they won't know it was there.
  7. Aux switches odd behavior

  8. Aux issues

I've had my Baja Designs lp9 pros wired to my aux switches for about two years. Lately I've noticed odd issues. Aux 3 goes to the amber running light mode. Aux 1 goes to low beam mode and aux 2 is high beam mode. Worked fine since I installed them but lately I've noticed odd behavior. I have...
  9. Diff Cover Upgrade vs Diff Skids vs both?

Running Metalcloak diff covers with skids (including diff skids)
  10. What actually _is_ normal steering?

My lifted JLU on 37x13.5's drives as nicely as my wife's 2014 Grand Cherokee. It does not wander, it requires no effort to stay in the lane it simply drives like any other vehicle.
  11. Hemi vs EcoDiesel

We have a grand Cherokee ecodiesel with 100k miles on it. At 18k miles though we did the EGR delete and removed the emissions junk. I have several friends with ecodiesel jeeps at around the same mileage. They aren't modified like hours and all are spending a lot of money now or recently because...
  12. Jeep Teases 392 6.4L Hemi V8 Wrangler?!

Because another post said that it would come with 35's. They would have to put stronger axles than are already there. As for the price, I'll bet money that it will be waaay more than the diesel.
  13. Jeep Teases 392 6.4L Hemi V8 Wrangler?!

So let's say that they are really doing this and putting the 392 in the JL/JT. What will it cost? Considering that a JLU tops out at about 70K now with all the options, my guess is that you are looking at $100k? Dana 60's to handle the power...beefed up brakes, etc. Yeah, I think it's going to...
  14. MOPAR 2" Lift (initial review) - AWESOME!!!

They will bow after a while. I've yet to see any not if you wheel the Jeep. My factory pads had started to collapse when I did my lift. The springs after a while seem to become too soft too.
  15. max tire size on mopar beadlocks

I'm running the Mopar 2" lift with some modifications to it. I got about 3.5" of lift aut of it,probably settled to about 3". If I'm really twisted up offroad I'll get a little rubbing on the right rear fender liner (where it bulges in). It's loud but isn't making much contact as it's never...
  16. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel Gasket Gap Issue

On mine, where the part of the cowl where the rubber "hose" connects has a gap because the weak assed plastic it goes around starts to collapse inward when you tighten the hose clamp. It leaves about a 1/16th inch gap there where water can enter the intake.
  17. Study Suggests State of the World Has More Americans Considering a Jeep

There are much safer and quick ways to get you the F out of Dodge. I'd prefer this when the time comes...
  18. Flowmaster Delta Force Cold Air Snorkel Kit - New Product!!

Thats just fugly. Looks almost homemade. Much prefer the Rugged Ridge.I put mine on in less than an hour.
  19. 3.0 Diesel EGR tube plugged

ah now the JL guys are going to know what us with the WK2 experienced a couple of years ago. I love ours after deleting EGR and emissions, but no way in hell I'd ever have another ecodiesel that isn't deleted.
