  1. JLs in the family

I’m pretty sure the son in law has half the Quadratec catalog on order by now. Mods on mine are winding down - right now, there’s only a big brake kit waiting for warmer weather to install. Though I’d like to do more, a few tasteful stickers is all the wife has allowed for her Willys so far...
  2. JLs in the family

First my ‘18 Mojito Sport, then the wife’s ‘20 Bikini Willys and last week my daughter got a ‘21 Sting Gray Freedom Edition. According to my daughter, I ”started a trend”
  3. Jeeps in Snow... post pics.

Needed to go to the office today. After a week, I‘m more than tired of this crap - the only good place for frozen water is in a margarita
  4. 2021 Wrangler Willy's - two weeks since purcase - 300 miles on it - won't start

    * If it’s in the fine print of the paperwork you signed, then it‘s deceptive, but legal. Otherwise, it’s an invasion of privacy. *the extent of my legal qualification is that my wife watches Judge Judy
  5. 2021 Wrangler Willy's - two weeks since purcase - 300 miles on it - won't start

A few other threads have shown a similar LoJack / immobilizer device tapped into the scan port. These things are installed by your sleazy dealer to make repoing your Jeep easier for them. It’s likely your issue is entirely due to the poor workmanship of your lazy sleazeball dealer, not FCA. If...
  6. Top 10 things Jeep should have done

    1. Offer an I-6 or a smallish (4.8 to 5.3L) V-8 tuned to make torque at lower revs - personally, I see the 392 Hemi more as a means to get bragging numbers at a premium price rather than a practical application for the JL 2. Pair the above engine with a manual transmission 3. thru 9. Eliminate...
  7. Jeeps parking next to Jeeps... post yours!

Bikini by bikini (pic credit goes to my wife)
  8. Say hello to my future overland trailer. 2020 JTUR bed box.

To my eye, the JT bed looks to set the axle too far forward to be well balanced for trailer use. Though, you could bias weight toward the trailer tongue. Locating a water tank in the alcove at the front of the bed might be a good solution. I wouldn’t give up on the aluminum frame idea just yet...
  9. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

Took low-traffic streets on the way home, 35 MPH max with the windshield down. Thanks to the so-called aerodynamics of our JLs, the wind through the cab will rip your face off if you go faster! For reference, here’s the the lumber & pipe lengths I’ve hauled in my JLU: 16’ (see earlier pic) -...
  10. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

Didn’t eat a single bug on the 2 mile trip home
  11. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

    Took it to Lowe’s
  12. Poll: How important is a shovel in your 4 wheeling recovery arsenal?

I spent a good bit of my early life on the wrong end of a shovel. The gimmicky folding shovels are frustrating if you really have to dig. I‘d advise a full-size, fiberglass D-handle shovel you can pick up at the big box store for $25. Sharpen the leading edge for best results.
  13. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Took out the suspension rake (with nearly 600 lbs of flooring in the cargo area)
  14. Dominion OffRoad Products Thread

    Quick delivery & easy installation
  15. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Installed Dominion Offroad mounting brackets for my Hi-Lift jack/dry cleaning hanger rod. Thanks @Dominion OffRoad for the fast delivery & clear installation instructions.
  16. What did you PARK NEXT to in your Jeep today?

When was the last time you saw a Samurai in the wild?
  17. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Did a test fit of my new inclinometer - I’ll trim the base and mount it over the weekend. I know that if my JLU was more than a lowly Sport I could get incline readings off the dash. Seeing this cheap gadget bobbling on my dash brings me joy that those with higher trim levels can’t fathom. Plus...
  18. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Had the day off so I volunteered to clean the wife’s Jeep inside & out - I need to be more careful about that: Earlier this week she did a road trip with the daughter and 2 year old granddaughter. I’m still in shock after seeing the unspeakable mess from three generations feasting on drive-thru...
