  1. Impressions from a 5.13 gears install on a JL Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (JLUR)

I know 2 guys with diesels that would love your take off 4.10s. Yes, there is a market for them.
  2. 2021 Steel Steering Gear Upgrade

    It’s a different part number.
  3. 2021 Steel Steering Gear Upgrade

There is one for it now, my friend has one.
  4. 1-1.5" lift with 37’s possible?

For the record, I’ve moved to a 3.5” lift for more clearance (fuel tank was 2” below axle tubes) and more uptravel! I also play in the dunes 😉
  5. Red Neck Ram hydro assist steering

Also, get the fluid WTO recommends from O’Reillys. Pentosin is the name, link below. It’s like a 1/3 of the cost of the dealer stuff and is the same. I only used just over a half a quart- but I didn’t have to bleed the whole system because the box was already in...
  6. Red Neck Ram hydro assist steering

I was in my shop 8 hours, BUT I had 2 buddies stop by, one stayed and “helped”. And my wife and kids were home and I kept getting interrupted and having to walk back to the house to help them. I’d say 4-6 hours if all that wasn’t distracting me. Oh, but I also didn’t have to swap out my...
  7. 1-1.5" lift with 37’s possible?

I did it for a year. 1.5” Rubicon Express lift on my Rubicon. Stock fenders and liners, just clearanced them a bit with a heat gun. 2” bumpstops, 10” travel in front and 12” in the rear. For all those that say you can’t wheel it, I’d say I did just fine...
  8. Looking for some info on Evo 2.5 Plush ride springs.

EVO is pretty tight-lipped about their spring specs. I have their 3.5” springs and run 2” of bumpstop extension, but that’s more to do with not over-compressing my shocks.
  9. Red Neck Ram hydro assist steering

Oh, and I’m also on beadlocked 37”s
  10. Red Neck Ram hydro assist steering

I just got mine installed Saturday. So far it has exceeded my expectations. I drove it about 3 hours on the street and several hours in the sand dunes yesterday. On the street you can’t tell its there, except it is like a super-duper steering stabilizer. The only time I really notice it is quick...
  11. 😡 2020 JLUR Hardtop Defect (CRACKED @ 1,250 MILES) Jeep Dealer & Jeep Cares Refuses to Warranty it!

In an attempt to bring this back on the rails, my 19 is doing the same thing. I don’t have any holes drilled in my top. I had about 15,000 miles on it and never had a roof rack. I did install a JCR half length rack for a Rubicon Trail trip. The only thing in a car top bag on it was sleeping...
  12. No hinge bolts on your doors?! You crazy?

Nope. 20,000 miles with no nuts on them. Hundreds of miles on washboard gravel road, 20 MPH in sand whoops, jumped it, doors have never moved.
  13. JCR Roof Rack Initial Bad Impression

The front and rear “fairings” rest on the roof. They supply rubber molding. But with their design, I’m not sure they really bear any weight.
  14. JCR Roof Rack Initial Bad Impression

I have the JCR and haven’t seen the EVO in person. When I bought mine, EVO was still steel only, so that was a knock out for me, too much weight. The aluminum one though is appealing. From pictures, it seems lower than the JCR, but the more important difference is that it appears that the entire...
  15. What Tailgate Table do you run?

The Front Runner does stick out a fair bit, probably 2” past the plastic cover. Now that the price of the FR has creeped up to almost $200 (I bought it for 150something), I’d probably consider the aluminum options offered (most are also a thinner profile).
  16. “Service Axle Locker System” Light On

When I just did the rear one, it was still giving me errors. Once I added the front harness it all works perfectly. Except I’m broke now. And my rear connection is leaking gear oil through the pins of the connection...
  17. Body mount tire carrier: CAVFAB vs. Rustys

I posted a pic in post #84 above.
  18. King Bump Stops for the REAR

Sweet. Would you mind posting a pic of your rubber bolt on pads?
  19. King Bump Stops for the REAR

Now that you’ve lived with the King bumps for a while, how are you liking them? Are they a nuisance on the street at all? I used to have RE hydro bumps on the front of my JK and they drove me nuts around town, pulling into driveways, etc with the coupling every time they touched the pad.
  20. Body mount tire carrier: CAVFAB vs. Rustys

Here is my Cavfab inside a 37” Nitto on a KMC 8.5” beadlock with 4.75” backspacing. Carrier is positioned as low as possible for tire to just clear a JCR bumper and plate/camera mount is pushed as far inside the wheel as I can get it. My only complaint is that the guidelines seem to point uphill???
