  1. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Picked up Jeep with new AEV Borahs and 35s, hinge reinforcement, brake light relo. No lift. Sold my stock Rubi wheels and tires to a nice guy who met me at the dealership. Highlight of my day.
  2. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

you southerners with your nice weather and sun and stuff..... (jealous)
  3. What's this?

According to the video of we have auto transmission and 3.6 we don’t have the smaller battery under the main. Just the main and the 48v one under the Jeep. But need confirmation from smarter people. I read that if you have the 48v etorque you don’t have an alternator but my sticker says I got...
  4. What's this?

    Thank you for this
  5. 37” no lift on JLUD

Thanks for the details. I moved back to a Jeep from a RAM Rebel Hemi so I do miss the oomph of the Hemi sometimes but wanted to see if the 37s would slog.
  6. What's this?

The black "box" in the middle of the pic on the left side. The right side pic is taken from the right of of the jeep. This is located about where the second row seats and cargo area starts but left of center of the vehicle. I just know this was not on my 18 JLUR.
  7. Am I missing Fuses?

saw that but there are spares in other places that are marked spares. So I guess I should have asked am im missing fuses and the spares?
  8. What's this?

21 JLUR: I went to install the MORE Evap protection plate and this is "in the way" I had a 18 JLUR and this was not there because I put the MORE plate over my Evap. Its directly under the EVAP between the Exhaust and rear drive shaft. Took 2 pics of it.
  9. Am I missing Fuses?

I went to check if all my fuses were seated properly (they were not) and I noticed that I'm missing fuses according to the diagram. Like K19, K05 and K06? 2021 JULR. Month old. So am I missing fuses? Does anyone who has a JLUR have these missing too?
  10. Who actually uses A/C?

Or I guess i another way to figure this out is if you put a 6 yr old in the back on a 90 degree day, dont turn on the AC while driving for 2 hours and then see how long you can endure "I'm hot, its so hot, I'm hot."
  11. Who actually uses A/C?

I guess it depends where you live but in IL, my AC is keeping inside of Jeep at 72 from Late April to September. We have days over 90 June-August. So yeah, I've never NOT used AC.
  12. 3.6L, 8 AT, 37”: 4.88 or 5.13?

im bumping up to 35s next week which Im told the 4.10 on my Rubicon is fine. But if I ever want to go to 37 I should do 4.88. Im not towing anything really (except for my fat a&&). so here's the question: I see two types of regear options on websites: Just the Axel Gear ring and Pinion or...
  13. 37” no lift on JLUD

I'd like to know this too. I called AEV earlier this week and was asking them about their lifts and 37s and the tech said make sure you regear bc your MPG and accellaration off the line will be abysmal when compared to the regear.
  14. Can anyone identify this plastic part?

Or its a cartridge case cover to DL44 blaster left behind by a time traveler.
  15. Identify this part...

Its a key to the 8th dimension: do not use it if you want to avoid tasting colors for the rest of your life. Lemme tell you, the color Red does NOT taste like Cherries. More like a 4 day old Tuna melt covered in Mayo that's been left inside a sweaty gym bag of socks and stewed pomegranates.
  16. Help Identify this Screw...

This is the screw that holds the McClukens bracket to the Flurbinator Turboid, If that rattles loose, then you can lose the ability avoid Oak trees. Elm trees (Ulmus Glabra) are not effected by a defective Turboid though. However if your Turboid does come loose and it dents the Schmerkler...
  17. What are the tailgate vents really for?

Well there are two explanations. The first is the obvious myth that these are for cabin ventilation and air pressure. The more plausible and ACTUAL explanation is the vents are portal to another dimension where everyone drives a Jeep. Adults kids babies. It's All Jeep all the time. When you...
  18. How to drive in snow and ice, for dummies...

All the tips here are great - especially the braking ones. What I taught my boys up here in Northern IL, is to make sure to imagine that everyone driving around you doesnt know how to drive in the ice and snow. Assume that they dont know how to stop or turn properly. Give yourself room.
  19. Windshield Defroster Fix

I love this hack. So smart. Would be nice if Jeep designed it right the first time like a lot of other things but I kinda love the hackability of the Jeep. Unlike most other vehicles, Jeep’s have so many opportunities to personalize beyond factory - small and large. I’ve probably spent my kids...
