When working on the rear and installing the coils, the instructions say to disconnect the control arms to get enough droop and the brake. Im not replacing the rear control arms yet. Do I still need to do that?
I am in va too haven't experienced that one and I have after market LED headlights. Take it to a different place for the follow up? Seems like where you took it they are clueless. Probably assumed you had aftermarket headlights and since they couldn't find whatever they were looking for they...
That's looks awesome! One mod leads to the next!
Yea that's the crazy thing about covid, we seem to know so little about how it spreads and how it affects different people. These vaccines can't get out quick enough.
Sorry to hear this man. I hope you make a full recovery soon. It's crazy I know people that say covid is no big deal, some who won't come out of their house, and all ranges of being safe or not in between. At the end of the day it's all about what we individually feel comfortable with, but...
Crazy looking. I think he has a rubi, so he doesnt have to disconnect (he says he disconnected from the switch inside). I guess for a sport, having to manually disconnect would make sure that something like that couldnt happen. Crazy to see that bar bent like that though.
Saw someone on facebook with a twisted metalcloak sway bar endlink. Someone else said the same exact thing happened to them too. Is this something to be concerned about? Maybe an install issue? *Not my picture
I'm not sure yet man. Would love to go with some people from here whenever I can. I'm hoping in the spring. I need to get my lift kit installed and then I'll be ready to roll (when the wife and I can agree on a day for me to be gone, probably an overnight trip for new).
When are you trying to go?
Nice! I haven't really looked into joining any groups yet. Most I've done is beach driving in the obx. I'm close to installing a new lift and after that I plan to do that 101 course at rausch creek in pa.
Are you planning on doing any trails soon?
please share what you figure out, i'm all confused with the arms. got the same exact kit as you, only i have 33s right now (going to go up to 35s in the next 6 months most likely). I went ahead and ordered the front lower control arms too, but it sounds like the measurements they give may be...
If you aren't interested in the power steps it's a waste of money.
Quick question though, are you going to install the lift and steps on your own? Or would you need a shop to do that for you? Still probably didn't get you to 10k but potentially a lot closer. Whatever your lift cost I bet...
I love this thread for these nuggets of info. Better to learn from others experiences than to struggle on my own. definitely getting those brake line brackets. Thanks for sharing this!
Just to update this... I talked to someone at metalcloak And they were able to provide me with the tracking number for my missing box. I filed a claim with FedEx and they tracked it to another address. MC in the meantime went ahead and shipped me replacements. Glad they took care of me in this...
Experienced this pretty bad this year in really heavy rain. I was in the far left lane traveling pretty quickly to keep up with traffic when I hit a large puddle of water. Just foster right over it. Scared the crap out of me. Quickly came up on sleep and floated out of control again. After that...
I'm hesitant to do the brake relocation thing because of what you are describing. Good to hear tips like using rtv for the rubber isolator in the rear. I may have to do that.
