I'm glad I don't have to choose. When I ordered, There was no way I was making this level investment in that 48V system. I also wanted the full-time 4WD. Glad I don't have to face this decision. I'd probably opt for the Diesel because I dislike the 48V more than I love the Selec-Trac
My comment was intended to come across as tongue-in-cheek, not serious. Topics debating two selectable options on the JL seems to correlate to the axiom in the link. Whether it's the V6 vs. I4, Sunrider Vs. One Touch, Rubicon Vs. Sport. Etc. I was joking that you are opening a can of worms...
I think you should be returning them. That is not a non-visible area, and is reasonable to expect full coverage. Before bringing the replacements home, you may want to open and inspect them.
Sorry, That won't work - It's not a money issue, it's the time, effort and commitment to packag it, drive to a shop, wait in line and then pay the shipping fees. - This is really just a decent deal for someone local.
Very thoughtful post - I don't agree with some of your comments, but we are allowed to hold different opinions.

I couldn’t pull the trigger on something that big. I have the little brother version. With factory tow, brake controller and weight distributing switch
I'd also recommend the Rubicon model. it's going to have the most demand on the secondary market when/if you sell someday in the distant distant future.
You will want all the Rubi stuff on your non-rubicon model, you know you will. The small savings on the initial purchase price will be...
I don't think I've run across this tip when mounting your winch, and routing the cables.
If you remove the grill (6 clips and it pulls out relatively easy), you can route the cables around the frame, up under the airbox to the battery area.
Clean install without the cables showing.
I had the...
Just completed this install on my '19 JLU.
I couldn't find a rivet gun to fit the larger shank of the provided hardware so I replaced with some zing plated hex-head serrated flange bolts and nuts from HomeDepot. I went with the 1/4-20 x 1-1/4" based on the size of the rivet - the bolts were...
