Agreed however
Agreed..ur on 37's however , the point here was it doesn't make a world of difference.. like in other makes. That 3.0 ain't that cheap of an option. Just an observation my friend, nothing more . Cheers
I get about the same milage on the 3.6 .. actually on a highway with the manual I've made about 26 mpgs. I'm surprised 3.0 diesel doesn't get more... and am glad I forewent that option from what I see.
the thing is that even the Jap. 4 s didn't have issue like this unless there was some kind of timing or lean issue. The 3.6 has a better power to weight ratio than pretty much all the economy 4cyl cars. The engine should never huff and struggle with this kind of advantage on its side.
I noticed the same also.. as of late I installed one of those Chinese OBD connector gauges that they sell on the net. I noticed the thing gives a warning right after shut off by ESS and upon startup again showing the voltage in low 12s or upper 11s Also , that little red electrical charge...
all factory... including wheels... I truly believe at this point that its running lean @ part throttle in 1000 -2000 range.
Anything above 2000 RPM including when running on 87 is smooth but running below that range it jerks a bit often.
In my travels I never restricted myself to one brand but never noticed a difference between the brands either . This is the first time I dumped some extra cash into the tank ..to put it short mine doesn't seem to like the 87
When full throttle I rev out but @ rolling speed I keep the RPMs low. Oddly between 1000 -2000 RPM torque is bit uneven or one could say jerky .. Other makes are nothing like this the torque is more linear.
Since I bought mine about 10 months ago , it didn't matter what brand went in and it was always 87 but always pinged below 2000 RPM . Did a 93 octane full fill-up ...no pings
Hey guys the 3.6 definitely doesn't fare too well with the 87 octane . One full fill up of 93 and there's no more pinging. So much for the recommended stuff
u might be lucky and simply pour in more fluid if u find it to be low. Sometimes it will burp the air out without any other special procedures. Again ... if its low....and depending on a few variables though.
they probably didn't bleed the hydraulic fluid so if ur fluid level seems low u know where to start looking. It would seem they did more damage them good. This is the very same reason I havent taken mine in for any recalls
