Keith, I think you'll be happy as I didn't expect much from the racks, especially holding up my RTT and sleeping in it but have been pleasantly surprised! I'm happy with it overall!!
Nope but I would be interested to see what you find out or what other folks post...I'm thinking of just getting the deezee small box and bungee cording the rotopax up there or strapping them down. Currently on the rear tire so either works for now. Pretty cool setup and surprisingly strong...
Good question...I'm running the racks now and am loving it so far. Loaded Thule cargo carrier and cargo basket so far and works great. Only thing I've actually attached to deezee racks are some chase lights and side lights and basically found that you can attach whatever you want as long as...
I have the exact same set up and not experiencing those issues...I'd recommend you ensure those bolts are all tighten up with loctite cause they loosen easily on the Dee Zee racks!
Awesome! Was thinking of exactly the same but those lifts from Harbor freight weigh a ton.. not sure how strong and that it would hold...how did you mount to ceiling?
None that we were made aware of...I think the only thing for the primitive or dispersed sites was to use sites that had existing fire rings and not make new ones. I'd also check the local ranger stations to ensure the sites you had in mind are not closed off for the winter! We were getting hit...
Unfortunately don't have the one touch tops so can't speak to whether this would work but not much clearance from the side rails to the cross bars, maybe 4 inches?
Just came back from a 8 day Overlanding adventure from LA to Moab cutting through Zion/Bryce, Lake Powell, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Arches and finally, Moab. Amazing epic adventure! Happy to report that the DeeZee racks and CVT Mt. Hood RTT held up just fine!!! We...
We like em...running 35s and pretty quiet on highways and does great off-road aired down. Grips pretty good. For the price - the value is great and they look good too!
Cool...we are about the same. So you are totally comfortable up there on those racks with just 2 bars supporting the tent? Soft top or Hardshell? I guess if you feel good about it, I may give it a try!
Had them install for $150, saved $250 on shipping. Big reason is the time...they gave me an option of self install in their warehouse but with just me and the wife, would've taken 4+hours and with their forklift, they were done in 1.5 hours.
Mounting hardware fits fine on Dee Zee racks...no...
