Yeah I guess so..argh. Maybe I could put up one hoist for the hard top and one for the RTT. Hmm...
Or I could use the Racor to lift the RTT off, move the Jeep, then lower the RTT onto a cart I can build out of 2x4s and casters, then push it to the side in the garage. The hamster wheel is turning..
Wife, brother, and I went out for a 2 day camping trip. Did a little off-roading beforehand and got the Jeep and his brand new Ranger nice and dirty. Had a great time and me and the wife loved sleeping in the RTT on the DeeZee rack. Loving this so far! Just need to figure out a way to store the...
Have a question for you guys regarding this hoist. Sorry if it's been answered. I have a Smittybilt RTT mounted to a DeeZee rack on my hard top. Would it be possible to store the RTT on the platform of the hoist, then use the hoist to lift my hard top? I think this would be over the weight limit...
So far, so good with the DeeZee and my Smittybilt RTT. Second camping trip (first multiday with it) coming up soon. Seems super secure, no problems with my wife and I sleeping up there. Has anyone done some wheeling with a RTT on their DeeZee yet?
Has anyone done some offroading with this rack and a RTT? I'm being told I'll probably want to get a different rack unless I plan on only going on pavement and flat campsites. I don't plan on rock crawling with the rack and RTT, but I don't want to be limited to not going on trails. I should be...
Thanks! The rack has attachment points on the gutters but the weight is actually distributed between feet that sit the rack on the strong points of the hard top (the edges). They're rated to 600lbs static and I think 200-250lbs dynamic.
I've been wanting to get a RTT since I bought my Jeep back in May and finally was able to pull the trigger today. Bought a Smittybilt Gen 2 from a local 4WheelParts. Super super excited, and will be taking it for a test run the weekend after Thanksgiving! I'm going to be mounting it on my DeeZee...
Got the rack installed.
Initial impression is I love it. It's low-profile, seems very sturdy, and is well-built. Putting it together and installing it by myself took maybe an hour or so, with a few breaks to do other stuff. Most time consuming part was measuring and lining stuff up while...
What do you guys think of using something like this as protection from pinstriping on the tight trails like Ocala?

Hey all! Just installed Rubicon wheels and tires on my 2020 Sport S. Now my mpg has dropped a good bit and my speedometer is 1-2 mph off according to a GPS speedometer app (tested before installing the tires and it matched up). I was wondering if I could get some pointers here. I've heard of...
I wave at every Wrangler and Gladiator I see. The vast majority don't wave back but every so often, I get some super enthusiastic wavers lol. I've waved at a few Cherokees and such but they haven't waved back.
Man I wish I could make it on the 11th, but can't. I'm gonna be doing Tread Lightly in Ocala on the 18th and that's the only weekend I have free to do stuff for the next month or so :crying:
Thanks! Probably. I said Orange Park but I'm on the Middleburg side of it. So far, I've only seen one other Ocean Blue JLU and one JL around these parts besides mine.
