I plan to add 285/70/17 KO2 to my Sahara with no lift. I’m still confused by offset/back spacing. What offset (and/or backspacing) should I look for in a new wheel if I want no to 1/2” poke. Ideally treads would be flush under and sidewall exposed. For 8.5” wheel and 9” wheel? Thanks.

Offset and backspace can be tricky and really, they are two different ways of looking at the same thing. See the write-up linked below for details.

To your question, an offset around +18mm or higher should put about flush with the fender.
