Method Wheels and 35 Ridge Grapplers. Have not rubbed yet. Considering spacers.....but dont know if I need em. Maybe if I add steel underbelly. I do have heavy bumpers, rock rails, and a winch. At some point....I will consider a lift or spacers??

For you guys running 35's on stock wheels and tailgate how are they holding up?

One of the first things I did was to install a steel bumper with a swinging tire carrier. After lifting those new 35's of mine.......I'm glad I don't have that load hanging on the door. Kinda a pain to open the tire carrier and then the door and lift the window.....but I like having the spare weight on that RH 4x4 Rear Bumper / carrier.

My reasoning this combination (315/70 KO2's on stock wheels) would work with the optional (Mopar) factory hinge-gate reinforcement was simple: Standard factory Rubi tires are 33's on non-reinforced JL tailgates...I would think just going from 33's to 35's (same KO2 tires) with the Mopar hinge-gate reinforcement would be well within design parameters. If I were planning to use larger or heavier tires and/or larger or heavier wheels, I would not be feeling so confident...

I have 35" Ridge Grapplers on the stock Rubi rims - no issues ... yet. Dealer told me it won't be a problem. They do a bunch of 35's on aftermarket wheels with no reinforcement to the tailgate and haven't had any problems. The Rubi wheel is light in comparison to most aftermarkets, so I think I'm fine. They did say 35's are the end of where they feel comfortable without reinforcement.

I wish I could remember. (duh). My tires now are about 2" outside of the fenders.......but I do not remember the backspacing. Sorry.

That thing looks fantastic! Are those OEM wheels?
Thanks.

No, they're not actually OEM. But, they may look familiar.

They're Hardrock Wheels by @Quadratec.

They were previously equipped on the JK Rubicon "Hard Rock" editions from a few years ago, I believe.

Quadratec re-engineered them to be wider and adjusted the offset and backspacing, allowing for larger tires without rubbing.
