Anyone have a YT video, pics or done the removal of the center section of the sound bar? I got some rock lights and want to mount them and wire them to the dome light for more light in the cabin.

Well since no one had any advice I went for it after a little liquid courage and installed my interior rock lights. Center section is held on by 3 torq T-25 bolts. I circled the locations in the pic. The interior light just pulls straight down. I used a pry tool and you can see the metal clips holding it up in the pic. Then the center piece just pulls down. I spliced into the interior center light so the rock lights come on and off with that. The yellow/brown center wire is the switches power for the positive to splice into. Hope this helps some others.

I really like the output. I may do two more in the back by that dome light and the rear should be good to go.

Great write up! There is another thread similar to this but with far less detail. I ordered rock lights yesterday to this very thing. Thanks for the detailed tutorial.

This is awesome. Thanks for the write up. Where do you connect the ground/negative? Is it that black wire? or yellow and blue?

Great write up! Thanks for posting!

Do the rock lights flood the front and rear seats well? Wondering if placing the lights one forward and one back so they are slightly angled up would be any better. However your installation is very clean and looks factory.

Yep spliced into the black. Forgot to mention that.

They do. You will see when you pull off that center section doing what you suggest would be real custom. I was going to do that but you will see that center is actually two pieces molded together.

Appreciate your wisdom on this! I've just added these lights to my Amazon list.

Finally had some time today to complete this much needed project!

Very happy with the results.

One additional modification I made was utilizing switches to be able to turn one or both lights off if needed.
