Man I love the silver on the JL. Seems like they did it differently thank the JK. At least when I looked. My first JK was silver and I ended up doing granite for my JLUR but I still peek in on the silver thread. Gorgeous Jeeps!
Wait until you see the silver rubicon in person, if you haven't already. It looks even better in person, photos don't do it justice.
Thanks - agreed. If I had to choose between the granite and silver when I picked mine up last week I’d probably be standing there still.Granite is beautiful too. I went back and forth, was going to go blue but when I looked at the 300 with the same color it looked purplish from some angles, and I wasn't sure how it would look on the jl. Changed my mind to red because I've always loved red jeeps until I saw a silver rubicon locally and loved it. The metallic pops and the red on the rubicon sticker and around the fender badges looks great on the silver.
I liked the white ones and black ones look phenomenal when they're clean. My JK is black and it's never clean. So I decided I wanted a metallic paint, so it came down to granite or silver. I test drove the silver, loved the way they looked, and I don't think it will look as dirty in New York's salty winters. In the end, I think they all look really good and I don't think you can go wrong with any choice. Thanks - agreed. If I had to choose between the granite and silver when I picked mine up last week I’d probably be standing there still.
Agree that the blue is too purple (potentially) and my first Wrangler was red. The first manual JL I drove was red (already sold) and really liked it too.
Front windows are 20. Just slightly off of the back but not noticeable. Put 70 on the windshield..
Very nice! What % are the front windows?
Wow, after my last 4 cars/trucks were black this thread convinced my to get a Billet Silver JLUR. And yes I have seen a Sahara in Billet Silver at a dealer. What a beautiful truck.
Question: I am really on the fence about the fenders - body color or black? Both look great. I was thinking about ordering it with body color fenders and using Plasti Dip to “color” the fenders black. That would give me both options and also protect the paint on the fenders. Comments? Would Plasti Dip on the fenders look bad or worse than just getting the black fenders? Any help would be appreciated.
Are you ordering a Sahara? If so unless I'm mistaken I thought they only come with body color fenders. Not sure about the plastidip. Since you liked the one so much at the dealership, why don't you order it the same way? I was ordering painted until I saw one with black fenders that I test drove. But it was a rubicon and I liked the contrast. If I was getting a Sahara I would get painted. Saharas have always had painted fenders and it just seems right. I ordered a rubicon with black. Just a matter of personal taste just like body color or black tops. I know, absolutely zero help, lol.
That's a good looking Jeep right there.I will contribute love the silver
