I have my Smittybilt X20 12K winch installed and am in the process of permanently wiring it. One of the things I am doing is adding a 500 amp relay (to cut the power when not in use) and I want to add a fuse in the main wiring as a safety. I have a very nice 500 amp ANL fuse block (https://www.amazon.com/Thor-THANLFB-500-ANL-Fuse-Block/dp/B01M2DF03H), but this thing is MASSIVE and will be difficult to install under the hood without some seriously creative wiring.
What are the thoughts as to the minimum fuse size needed? Would a 300 amp fuse suffice? If so, this model would fit so much easier:

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
