This just started happening but I have a 2018 JLU and when I have the radio on there is slight random ding that sound at different times. Sometimes it is within 20 seconds and sometimes it it several minutes. Anyone else experience this or know what it may be?

Have you recently purchased a different type or phone or upgraded from a previous version of the same brand?

or are you connecting anything (electronically) that you had not been before?

It could be that the device and your Jeep are in communication and the ding could be something like a txt received or a news update. It could even be an app on your phone that you recently updated which now gives you update notifications. Like a sports feed update or something.

I know this is kind of broad, but it could be a start.

Btw Tom, where in Indiana are you? I’m in Southern Indiana. (Seymour specifically).

Does it only happen on Sirius? Have you added any favorite songs or artists?

^^ I'm also pretty sure it's the favorite artist/song on Sirius. When it happens look at the top of display and see if it has a red text alert for favorite artist/song.

Thanks to all. I will check out all suggestions, but yes it is just while listening to Sirius. I guess the previous owner had favorites. There are no phones linked to the jeep.
