30miles freeway, no traffic. I reset the computer right before getting on and took the picture right after I got out. I dont get nearly this good gas mileage on my 3.6 sport JL with ATs

regular top tier gas. This is almost as good as I get with my manual corolla. Pretty insane.

I still plan on test driving a 2.0L, however I come from the KISS school of thought which is why I lean to the V6.
true. I think thats why they consentrated the BSG drivetrains into the Sahara models and the rest of them are standard ESS, even the 2.0s.

Agree, was kind of bummed when they took the availability of BSG out of the other models. My mindset is if I'm going for a more technology enhanced engine (turbo, direct injection, etc) I want the BSG as well. Anyway, it'll be interesting if I can feel the ESS difference between the two since the 2.0L no longer has the BSG.

My JLUR's (manual trans) lifetime average is 18.4mpg's right now which is... tolerable. Although, when I was on vacation in CO a couple months ago, I had a JLU Sport with the auto and 2.0 turbo engine and that thing was awesome. Pretty quick, and even going up and down mountain rounds and cruising around 80mph, I averaged 28mpg's for the whole trip without trying to be fuel efficient at all. I was very impressed.

Exactly. Dealers kept telling me I could get a MUCH better deal on a 4cyl, they're giving factory incentives to get them off the lot. Funny, a year ago they had an upcharge to get the 4, this year they're paying you to take one.

While there's nothing "simple" about any vehicle sold today, least of all these Jeeps, I felt I could at least minimize my exposure to future "technical difficulties"

I average mid-high 17's , occasionally I hit low-mid 18 depending on where I get the gas, the average outdoor temps (Do better when we have a cold front), and depending on traffic.

Sadly, the colder temps only come during the tourist season here, so traffic increases and my drive home from work goes from 25-30 mins to 45-60, which affects my MPG.

If I do take the freeway, which is 70mph limit around here, I drop down in the 14-'s to 15's driving 75-80mph. Recent highway trip I kept it set at 74 and got low 16's

Well, it seems that if I keep it between 55mph & 65mph, our stock 2-door Sport-S with 3.6L Automatic can get decent gas mileage. After 50 miles on a fresh tank, I was averaging 28 mpg.

Best,

I'd recommend using a fuel tracking app like Fuelly to get accurate mileage results. My display always shows 1-2mpg higher than what I'm actually getting. I have used Fuelly for years, it works great.

Actually mine is spot on. I calculate the MPG when I get gas manually and it always matches the JL computer.

You may want to try 200 Octane for a mpg boost... LOL

Shouldn't the poll include "Average MPG" due to the nature of the title of it? I have middle of the road MPG's...

It wasn't, but I've never noticed that before or after.
