Looks like the "Sport" version doesn't include heated mirrors or electric windows either. Sounds like a very stripped down package. Cant figure out why it has the upgraded bumper. This doesn't make any sense.
Yes. So strange about the bumper. Also there is a Willys sport package as well for JLU with the MBU bumper.

Any additional wet-weather driving experience? Anyone else have experience with these M/T2s?? I'm thinking about getting a set for my Sport S.
Thanks in advance!
I live in VA and get plenty of rain. Short version is I don't drive much differently other than taking off from a stop. The 3.6 will spin the rear tires turning from a stop, and it's REALLY easy to do when wet. Other than that, the basics- increase following distance, and keep your head on a swivel. For the CA people, that means you might have to let someone get in front of you as you cruise down the 405- at least that's how I did it when I lived out there.

I haven't had any wild adventures off road, more of what I consider "off-pavement," running around the family farm. No issues with traction for the very mild conditions.

Brought my Sting Gray Willys home last! Ordered in October but had to wait a bit to pick it up, I'll post better photos soon but wanted to put this one up so that I can say I'm officially part of the group!

So, there were some questions asked early on, and I was wondering if anyone ever found out the answers to them.

The question was about the springs/suspension. Are the springs the same as the rubicon? I know you get the upgraded brakes, but there seemed to be some confusion over that.

Thanks.

Springs are the same as the Sport, shocks are red colored like Rubicon, but not sure if they are the same part #s.

First mods on day one. Punisher fuel door cover and stubby antenna.

While installing the fuel door cover, I found masking tape left behind from factory. It was behind the tail light. For no apparent reason, I kinda thought this was cool. LOL.

Is that the default step? I thought it came with Rock Sliders.

And, How hard was it to pull that rear tail light? Looking at getting a fuel cap myself, and have no idea what is involved. Actually, I have no idea where to get one from either.

Nice looking Willys there.

They come with Rock Sliders, but I had mine ordered with the Tube Step. My Dad is crippled up and he's my adventure buddy, so I needed them so he can get in and out of the Jeep.

Regarding the Fuel Cover; It was a pain in the a**. Doesn't take very long (maybe 20 minutes or so), but its hard to get to the clips so you have to remove the tail light. I cut my hand on the metal while doing it, since its a very tight fit. Thank goodness for YouTube, there are some really good videos giving instructions on how to do it.

I purchased mine on Amazon. They have a few different styles to choose from. I think the cost was around $25, give or take.
